Try some Dawn dish soap, it will dry out your skin. Or hit up a tanning bed.

yea man the same exact thing happend to me too, months after it was still out of control on my back. I had to go on acutane, the doc even asked if it was from steroid use, I told him it was and he didnt care at all, he just wanted to understand how. Anyways after a month or 2 on it all acne cleared up, but the entrie acutine process lasts about 6-8 months. They claim its gone for good because it completely dries out your subcesious glads (spelt wrong) but its the glands that make the oil that clog your pores that make the acne. Well anywho they say its dries it up permently.

I didn't want to go back on acutane myself due to the dry red skin side effects, so the doc put me on 10 day doxycyclin which is an antibiotic, It cleared most of it up, and said I could stay on a lower dose for acne maintenance.

My shoulders seem to have become permanantly prone to potential acne after my first cycle as well.

My derm. ran me on a course of accutane years ago to rid post cycle acne. He told me that the results would be permanent. I wasnt a believer at the time; 6 years later I have not had a single actual pimple. AMAZING.

"Accutane is a drug used in the treatment of severe acne. First introduced in 1982, Accutane has since been used by more than 16 million patients worldwide. Citing growing competition from generics and a string of Accutane lawsuits, the manufacturers of the drug pulled it from the U.S. market in 2009, but the medication continues to remain in use in other countries and in generic forms in the U.S."

"Throughout its history, Accutane has been linked with several severe side effects including birth defects and suicide. It has also been linked to inflammatory bowel disease and Crohn’s disease, a chronic illness that affects the digestive tract. Crohn’s disease can be identified by the following symptoms:

•Abdominal discomfort, often in the lower right quadrant of the stomach area
    •Bloody stool
    •Loss of appetite
    •Severe diarrhea
    •Ulcers
    •Weight loss
In severe cases, patients with Crohn’s disease may also experience the following symptoms:

    •Arthritis
    •Fatigue
    •Fever
    •Skin complications
    •Stunted growth in children
Patients who develop any of the symptoms listed above should stop taking Accutane immediately and contact their physician.

    "

"Accutane has been linked to several chronic conditions involving damage to the gastrointestinal tract, including ulcerative colitis. Ulcerative colitis is a form of inflammatory bowel disease associated with chronic inflammation of the digestive tract in addition to ulcers on the lining of the large intestine and rectum. Some Accutane users report an immediate onset of symptoms, while others have developed symptoms of ulcerative colitis months or even years after Accutane treatment ended. Treatment is available for the condition, though there is no known cure."

If its bad enough you want to take the risk thats your choice but people should make an informed decision knowing what could happen

Has anyone tried Panthothenic Acid or Vitamin A? I am running both of these in a mild/med dose every day. I have asked my pharmacist his opinion on these as some people on google are claiming they have helped with acne; he said Vitamin A is dangerous in high doses which is true. He doubts panthothenic acid works. I have been running both for almost 3 weeks and have noticed a significant decrease in the amount of acne and how severe and large they are when I do get them. Because I just came out of PCT and started a cycle, this is skewing the results (body going through major hormonal shifts). Anyone run these and get good results? Thought about accutane and decided to hold off after reading all the possible side effects.

Isnt accutane basically a concentrated form of vitamin A?

"Accutane is a naturally occurring derivative of vitamin A and is detectable in the bloodstream of all people. Vitamin A in large doses has the same effects as Accutane, both good and bad, but quickly becomes harmful since it builds up in the tissue."
