injection - question... what if?????

Hey the last question i wanted to know about was, what if when you inject into your delt you hit a vain and dont realize it? i was reading up and it says to pull some liquid out to see if blood comes out and then you can tell if its in a muscle or not... if you suck out and your in a muscle, what will happen? wont blood come out anyway? but basically im saying what if you acidentally inject into a vain? will it cause serious damage? i tried everywhere to find out but i cant find any articles or information on it...

When you aspirate , and make sure you ALWAYS do, if you see tiny air bubbles in the syringe your good to go. If in fact you aspirate some blood, pull the syringe out, expell the blood, change needles, find a new site and rejab. Make sure your always using proper sterile injecting procedures.
