    Planning First Cycle

Right now I am working on getting my body fat in check. I am at 20% as of today. With some help from here I have revamped my diet to help with that effort. Threads in the nutrition section. As part of the preparation I had my bw done and found very low test levels (read all about that mess in the TRT forums here). So right now I am working to get that leveled out and am doing weekly100mg test c injections and .25mg liquidex rod. My expectation is that around the end of January I will be ready for my first cycle. Picked that date as I run a marathon the middle of January in Phoenix and will be two weeks recovering from that fully. So here are my stats and my plan.

    37
    241#
    20% bf
    6'4"
Lifting currently on a 4-day split
    Chest and tri's
    Back, bi's, and forearms
    Rest
    Shoulders, calves, and abs
    Thighs
    Rest
Long run day that will go away after january

    400mg/week of test c for 10 weeks
Liquidex @ 4mg/week (already know that test makes me hold water and puffy nips)

On pct I have not decided. Being on trt I am still trying to figure out if its required. Doing more research on that topic. And would appreciate any advice you'd give on that.

I see you are on TRT, so no need for PCT. PCT is designed to return your hormonal levels back to normal as quickly as possible. Since on TRT, you are not relying on natty hormonal levels, because you are 100mg test cyp/week. So no need.

You may want to rethink the cycle until you lower your BF%. I'd say a target of 15%, others will say much lower. Reason is due to possible feminine sides which diminish the lower your BF% is. Up to you

I used to be a competitive distance runner when I was a kid. Congrats! and i'm jealous. I'd love to be able to run distance again, but my knees will no longer allow it.

What are you doing for cardio? Is this your first marathon?

    Cheers!

Thanks for the input. For cardio I am doing fasted runs on mornings I am home. Usually 3 miles but up to 5. I am not used to running fasted, so I struggle a bit. Adds about 40-50 sec per mile over a well loaded run. On days I can't do that I will do 400m repeats on a treadmill. Usually 6 or so repeats for my HIIT.

I am hoping to be down at or below 15% by the end of January. Its amazing how I am loosing abdominal fat since starting the trt. Pretty sure my estrogen levels were high and may be why I was fighting the abdominal fat even at 30-40 miles per week of running.

This will be my fourth full marathon in two years. I usually run a half marathon every three months or so. I am running my ninth half next weekend in Las Vegas. Im big and slow but love running.

Also as a note, I started working out about three years ago. Health was going to pot. High blood pressure, cholesterol issues, and gout to name a few. With running and lifting I went from 278# down to 225#. I have gained some weight in my last real hard push at the gym and have also carried some water since starting trt. That's getting closer to normal though using the liquidex.

This where I am at right now. Hoping to drop another 10-12# of fat in the next 10 weeks to prep for the cycle.

Agreed, nobody wants man boobs, but mor importantly, people with higher BF usually hav higher BP also, & AAS raises ur BP even further, which can lead 2 heart attack.

That's one area I am good. It floats around 115/70 most of the time. My lipid panel looks great. My bf% honestly surprises me with the amount if running. Im guessing its a result of the amount if carbs I was consuming along with fats at those same meals.

Any other concerns I should address before I start looking to put my cycle in place aside from making sure I have bf% down to an appropriate level?

Do I need work on a training schedule or should I be OK with the four day split with a couple rest days through out the week?

I should be picking up the gear that I will need in addition to my normal scripts in a couple weeks.

Thanks in advance for the feedback. Its nice to have a supportive group like this to teach us newbies.

It never hurts to change up your workouts and keep your body guessing. Your body hates change so the more different things you throw its way, it forces it to change

I will work on that. Probably keep the four day split, just roll through a number of different exercises every few weeks to keep them guessing whats next.

Thanks for the input guys. I will guess since there wasn't a lot of feedback I am not too far off base for a first cycle coming into it from TRT.

Once I get mt body fat in check and get started I will keep a log going on progress.

I am sure I will have more questions as I get closer to starting. And I know I will be doing a ton of reading in here between now and then.

Down to 18% bf. Getting closer. Should have the remainder of the Test Cyp I will be running for my first cycle by the end of the week. Did the math, my Dr. gave me a script for a 10ml/200mg vial a month, makes the cycle a lot cheaper when I just have to supplement one vial on top of the script.

Found good motivation over the weekend when I was in Las Vegas for the half marathon. Worked out at Golds on Saturday and Jay Cutler was in there working out. Didnt fully appreciate how much mass he carries till I was standing by him.

Also, I am questioning whether 10 weeks is adequate on Test Cyp. From my reading it seems like once I up the dosage it will be a few weeks till it really kicks in full blast. Would 12 or 14 be a better option?

I was thinking of doing 400mg/week for my first cycle. But will have the gear for 500mg.

Since I will have been in trt for a few months before I cycle, does that change the importance of being only a test only cycle since know what to expect sides wise from the test c I am on now? I got a good buy on t-bol and had planned on using it on my second or third cycle, but would using it on my first be OK since I know I need an AI upfront and know what to expect from the test for the most part?

    Any thoughts on post 21?

Also, down to around 17.5%. Fat loss is slowing a little, but I will hit my peak mileage for marathon training in the coming 10 days, that usually leans me up a bit. After recovery from the marathon to the end of January I should be on track to kick off my cycle the last week of January. Then its a cut away from cardio and focus on diet and my lifting for 12 weeks.

No. I assume your trt is not 500mgs. Sticking with one compound for your first cycle becomes invaluable in diagnosing and correcting side effects in future cycles. 500 mgs of test first cycle is PLENTY.

Well I've been off for awhile, but went ahead on my first cycle. I ran 500mg test cyp/week for 8 weeks, just finished my last shot at that dosage on Friday of last week. I went from 235#@15% to 254@16%. That was doing a four day split (as close as travel allows me to follow) and eating around 5000 calories a day with limited cardio. I can notice some extra fat on my waist, but am happy with the size I have added to my shoulders, chest, and legs. I am dealing with some acne issues, but hope to get that back under control here soon. I am going ahead and going to a dermatologist later this week for some help. Hoping to avoid accutane if I can due to concerns on donating blood as I need too (HRT patient), but need to avoid looking like quasi moto from scarring too. I did run one half marathon a few weeks ago and will say that running at the new weight added about a minute per mile to my running time. So I am gonna be focusing on my running for a few months while I am cutting. I am taking a week off of diet and exercise and doing what I want before i hit the cut hard. Hoping to hit summer around 11-12%bf and 240#.

    Cylce as below:
250mg Test cyp Monday am and Thursday pm
250 iu HCG sunday morning and wednesday night
    .5mg anastrole eod

No e2 issues on cycle. I do expect some issues as my test drops and I get my levels back to my normal HRT levels. Looking forward to another late summer cycle for some added mass.
