    Possible abses!!!

    Possible abscess!!!

Shit, I think I may have a possible abscess, its on an injection site from 3 days ago, I just noticed it tonight, I am not sure if its red and warm because I have been rubbing it or if its an actual abscess. The strange thing is that is not around the injection site but blow it, and it feels pretty knotted up, I am going to try not to heat it or rub it for a bit and see if its still red and warm to the touch, I an not sure at what point I should go to the doctor, ie what is the time line that I should follow??? Any help would be great….. ps the first 3 injections hurt and were sore but I don’t thing that they were red and warm like this.

That sucks man. I wish I had some good advice for you, but I have been fortunate enough to avoid injection problems.

I'll help keep it at the top though. Hope more people chime in.

    Have you googled pics?

And since you mention its below where you injected, its possible the oil ran down the fascia of the muscle IIRC. I remember Bonaparte mentioning something about it. I wouldnt go to the ER yet, or anytime soon.

I went to the doc, they said it’s not an abscess yet, but it is an infection, and they gave me some pills for the infection and told me to watch it for the next 72hrs. The problem I have not is deciding whether or not I should continue my cycle, I already missed my injection today and have not taken any d-bol. The only reason I am considering stopping my cycle is because its home brew and I am afraid that maybe its contaminated. I am having a really hard time choosing what direction to go with this. I would like to finish my cycle but I never want an infection like this again, it hurts big time and causes limited mobility.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks guys.

I have had a bad reaction to an injection a few times and the area goes red and is warm to touch. Once I left it and it was fine, calmed down. Was from an amp.

The other instance I went to the doc and he gave me anti-biotics. Stopped using the UGL Winstrol I had and drank it.

Is this your first shot and this has happened from the vial? Or have you been jabbing from the vial and after a few injections this has happened?

This was on the 4th jab from this vial, the others were irritated but this one actually got infected.

How did you filter? Syringe or bottle top? If bottle, how did you sterilse your media bottle?

How did you sterilise your vials and runner stoppers?

If ur worried about bacteria I believe u could re-filter and heat in the oven to kill any bacteria

It was a bottle top filter, vials were already sterile so I just used alcohol on the top, and I used alcohol to sterilize the media bottle, but I have since herd that that may not have done the job. I wonder if there was a issue with the gear being contaminated why it did not show up from the first jab???

Because if you have a healthy immune system, your body can can neutralize most bacteria before they take hold.

Think of your body as occupied territory, and each injection of something tainted as a group of paratroopers. They may gain a stronghold (an abscess), or they may get slaughtered before they even touch the ground. There are a LOT of random variables involved.

I would autoclave your vials with a pressure cooker.
15 psi (250F) for 30 minutes should do it.

I dont think using just alcohol is being safe.

I put mine in the oven for 1 hour on the highest heat. Let the oven get to its max temp over 10-15mins and then 1 hour.

Trust me, they're f*cking hot. Handle with care.

Wash with alcohol prior to this, then oven, cool, ready for using.

So should I just use a pressure cooker on the vials that have the gear in them??? Will they explode???

Also, I have stopped my cycle until I can get everything straightened out, so I was on for 2 weeks, my question is do I need to follow PCT, or is 2 weeks so little time that I can safely rebound without PCT???

Swifto, I found out after I made my gear that alcohol was not sufficient for sterilizing glassware, I guess its just live and learn.

Thanks again for all the help everybody…….

I do this to all my finished vials.
So long as there is a bit of space at the top for the oil to expand, you'll be fine.
To be safe, use a syringe in each to draw a vacuum first.

Cool, i will do this, and once i do this i should be good to go right??? after doing this there is not way my gear could be "dirty" right??? ie no bacteria..

I got a very bad quad infection on one of my first ever injects. It was so bad I think if I had not gotten antibiotics I could have lost the leg. I heard of a guy local that had to go to ER and get hooked up to IV because he got a bad infection and didn't get on it fast enough. I now keep a bottle of antibiotics at home and would not hesitate to start them at the first sign of infection.

yea i think my infection is starting to heal, the doc gave me septra, but she only gave me a 10 day script..... i am stopping my cycle untill i can insure i rid my gear of all bacteria then i will give it a 2nd go...

To my knowledge, the only bacteria that can survive those temps are extremely rare (like bottom of the Marianas Trench next to a magma vent rare), not the sort of thing you'd encounter in your house.

If you're still paranoid, do it once, then repeat 24 hours later to kill any spores that may have survived and now germinated. This is the idea behind Tyndalization, though autoclaving should kill even the spores that boiling does not.

Is a regular oven sufficient in your experience?

Your also telling me the rubber stopper wont melt at these heats?

Dry heat takes much longer and is less reliable than wet heat.

And butyl stoppers don't melt or deform until 300+ F (I know this through experimentation).

So, the doc calls me after getting my blood work back and she wants to set up a sonogram of my liver because my enzyme levels are about 4X what they should be……. I told her that it was due to the d-bol, so I got her to agree to just do blood work again in 1 week and we will go from there….. its funny how little doctors know about steroids and the actual effects they have on the human body.
