    Risk/Reward

Having a dilema , Iam still probably approx 1 yr away from first cycle and have decided to use the time researching and learning as much as possible. I have made considerable improvements in gym time & diet and Iam currently gaining approximately 1-2 pounds per week naturally, although this seems to be slowing slightly recently. Have found it incredibly easy to identify the positives of cycling, but believe the inteligent thing to do is to establish and consider the negatives.
My problem is that For every positive there seems to be 5 negatives, Iam aware that the likelyhood of experiencing these is often minimal and that for most there are effective cautionary measures.
My quest for knowledge has, in part , scared me off.
At 41 my health and mortality are increasingly more important to me .
I realise this is a decision I have to make on my own, but would would appreciate some indication as regards to what percentage of people experience serious side effects.
considering test e and nolva for first cycle.
    Any comments greatly appreciated

Well, a lot of the side effects depend on ur stats & medical history. So, wut r ur stats? Hav u ever been diagnosed with hi BP?

    thanks bear
No serious health history - low Bp - naturally and historically skinny - spend yr 20 to 35 at 140 lbs - 35 to 40 at 147 lbs - sorted diet and gym and over last year ( mostly last 4 months) managed to get this up to 172 ish. Realise this is still light for height ( 5 11 ) but have super fast metabolism and been incredibly hard work for gains . Only medical complaint - slightly sensative stomach.

I think for many people, AAS leads to a more healthy lifestyle. If doing a cycle gets you to get to lower your body fat and eat better, then you have a decent chance of offsetting possible side effects like higher blood pressure. If you do a cycle and don't change any of your bad habits, then I think it can amplify possible problems. Sounds like you are headed down a good path, and your fears will help keep you from being completely irresponsible and putting your health at risk.

I agree with what these guys said before, but if you're still gaining 1-2lbs a week naturally, you don't need gear yet. You're making great gains. How long have you been training for?

No problem. It is a serious treat to talk to a level headed person that is putting thought into what they are doing.

I agree with above that you might was well get some blood work done to see what your Test levels are. Might as well check everything else too. Even if your Test levels turn out to be fine, it will give you a baseline for your other blood work to compare later when you do start a cycle.

Thanks for all your advice - Only really started training properly (4/5 times per week)for the last 4 months or so, started periodically about 1 year ago in order to improve fitness but with no real gains until recently.
To be honest I was a little apprehensive about posting on site as I am a million miles away from you guys, bearing in mind I started at approx 150lbs only 4 months ago and now approx 172.
The Blood tests you are advising, is this something I can get my uk doc to do ? and I'm assuming he will want a valid reason for doing them.
