Test prop - faq

Hi guys,

i understand this is more than likely a frequently asked question - i dont have too much time to search as im currently at work.

I started test prop (1308 labs, 150mgs/ml) i know the gear is legit its been tested and used by a friend who competes.

The site i did the IM injections is extremely sore (i know i did the IM right as iv done a degree in nursing)

so, two questions:

a) is it normal for prop to hurt so much?
and
b) i feel hot, almost like a fever - is this a common side effect given that this is my first cycle ever.

the site being sore is common in most cases it all depends on amount of alcohol in your prop! some test is killer when injecting, its the price we pay. now this is all concidering you pinned urself right and your gear is legit. the fever thing i cant validat with any personal experiance with test. add some more info to your thread such as how long have u been on, were did u hit urself how long is your pin and ur stats would all be a good place to start..

soreness is normal, I was sore for a week and a half (felt like someone hit me with a baseball bat) he first couple pins, then it decreased.. now on third cycle and I get sore for a day and its mild.. my wife is a nurse so I felt confident she did everything right. what size needle did you use?

virgin muscle hurts more
prop is typically more painful
depending how much ba is it can make it hurt
150mg/ml can more painful, the higher the mg typ the more pain

i did it in my quad using a 23 gauge...

the site itself is sore not warm, my face and hands feel warm, as if i have a fever.

this is my first cycle and im referring to my first shot (last night)

although walking around is the constant reminder i am on it, maybe im just thinking about it too much (in regards to the fever) and over assessing, but im unusually sensitive to cold weather right now (sitting here freezing in the office)

Try glutes and delts, as they are usually less painful than quads.
And the fever thing is probably in your head if the injection site isn't warm.

Agree with above. Quads give me the most discomfort, although I have never had pain like you describe.

Prop is much more painful then test c imo.and I did quads once and will never do again. Glutes will try delts soon. Pain gets easier but on prop it didn't for me. I just ended cycle early. Couldn't walk or lift legs. But I think I am one of the few. Test c mild soreness

EDIT: i cant exactly take my pants of and check at the moment (in the office) but if the site is warm, what could that be?

It could also be test flu.
If you have a fever and site is warm, red, pulsating, could be an infection. Though i wouldnt worry about this, unless you do stupid things when injecting and your not sure about gear sterility.

If just the site is red, warm, its normal, i get it too sometimes, even mid-cycle. Try injecting slower so it has time to disperse.

In my opinion its nothing, just ride it out, it'll go away in a few days.

Sounds like Test flu... I've gotten it both times I used prop. Only lasts 3-4 days though and seemed to go away late morning. Had a small fever, disorientation, upset stomach, typical flu symptoms.

Prop is typically the most painful test. After a few shots the soreness will become much less severe, just make sure to inject slowly.. I do about 45-50 secs per ml n it seems to really cut down on the pain.

thanks everyone, i assume it was just the test flu as i took some ibuprofen and im feeling great besides my leg which is still quite small.

for the record im doing 1ml (150mgs) EOD for 8-10 weeks adding some winstrol in the last four weeks of the cycle

Bro it is realllly painful. I had it in my delt and would scream if anyone touched me or hugged me the day after. I wasnt able to use that arm/ lift it for 3 days atleast. try warmin the oil (under warm water) b4 injectin.

I found that if I worked the muscle I injected really helped the pain, so for inject quad I would do squats and leg extensions for sure. And injected right before i worked out (within 30 min)
And I would go Ed its less to Inject each time and ur already a pin cushion at eod so why put more in each shot just add more sites. I hate glutes as a site though, left a huge knot in my arse an struggled walking for several days. I went with quads, pecs, delts, and sometimes bi's and tri's. After the virgin muscle issue it became pretty much pain free maybe a little extra site when compared to the other side but still easily manageable.

thanks for your replies everyone, as this looks like a common reoccurrence for test prop users i have a method to reduce the cork substantially.

first of all, the most comfortable place to pin by far is the glute
rub the upper/outer quartile of the glute to work the muscle and numb it up a little
dialute your test prop with at least the same amount of STERILE GRAPESEED OIL (for example, 1ml prop add 1ml grapeseed oil)
warm up the prop/grapeseed oil to as close to body temperature as possible
while pinning with a 23 gauge take 1min per ml and once you have finished injecting the prop/oil wait at least 5 seconds before removing the needle
after swabbing the area and waiting for the alcohol to dry have a hot shower and rub your glute for at least a few minutes.

this might sound like common sense for a majority of you/all but for us first time it sure does help

you cant talk about labs or sources in here... that is why your stuff is being edited.... also the steps for injecting prop are dead on... i have never mixed it but i always take a shower, warm it up, inject slow then rub it out good... works well and reduces the pain during and after injection.....

i have another question, it time for my 4th pin and i want to keep it in the glutes, although my ride side from my pin 4 days ago is still slightly tender... is it okay for me to pin in it? or is it going to cause me pain/discomfort?

yes you should rotate more then that
