For either quad or ass you need 1 1/2in needle asd far as the gage I use a 22g to get the gear out and 25g to pin. I have used the 22g to pin before but make sure you don't use the same needle to extract the gear as you use to pin. One poke per needle.

Honesty don't know much about it so I don't want to mislead. I have pined in both places and for me personally I like the quad. 2 reasons, 1 its easier for me to do my self since one had around your side is hard to hold steady and 2 it was hard to walk after pinning my ass since every step I took a or sat down it hurt like crazy. Again thats just me. The pain only lasted the first few shots now no pain at all.

Make sure you change the needle after you draw. Its unreal how much that rubber stopper damages the needles edge

I NOW change the needle after the first draw, it makes a big difference...I use a 23 1 1/2 to draw and a 25g to pin. You gotta oush slow with 25 cause it is small...you can use 1 inch needles alot of guys do but depends if your skinny or bf is low...but you cant go wrong with 23 1 1/2 needle..

I personally use 1'' 23g to pin glutes. 1 1/2'' for me is 2 long and hurts way more after. For quads I use 25g 5/16 and is almost always a smooth shot. I use 1'' on glutes because I dont have much fat on that area and I manage to hit the right depth for a more painless injection(everyone is different thou).

The main reason I'd recommend using a 1.5" needle is from what I read in another threat about somebody hitting a nerve that caused the muscle to move out of control and break the needle off in their leg. If they had some of the broken needle exposed, it'd be easy to pull out of them.

Remember virgin muscle hurt no matter what u do. And not everyone switches needles after pulling but many do. Fyi. I switched from 1.5 to 1 inch needles and soreness is considerably less.

1.5 for glutes, 1 inch for quads.

Like the pain? Its not really that kind of pain. It hurts like hell for a few days but those few days its constant! every step every move. I was such a ***** my first cycle I almost stopped! Sure glad I didn't cause now not much pain at all but I still would go as far as saying I liked it. Its just the price we pay.

how do you know if you've gone far enough. My friend ordered 1'1/2 needles but it doesn't seem like you'd have to put the entire needle in. any thoughts?

its not bad to go in deep, but it is more painful for many users. If u hit bone haha but it would take a long needle when pinning glutes and other big muscles..
