Low Test levels after using Steroids for treatment of HAIR LOSS

    Hi Guys

    Age 30
Cycle : never done a cycle
    weight: 139 pounds

I have been infected with alopecia areata (diease of hair loss from all over the body) since last 2 years. I tried so many doctors/medicines, but nothing worked for me. Then one doctor asked me to take Steroids (Betnesol & Milanosol) to treat this disease. I took these pills for approx. 14 months (Milanosol for 7 months only). In result, I got my hair back, but I got many sides also. First, my test went so low, eyes popped out of my face, SHBG went down, libido touched ground (obviously).

As I stopped taking these pills, I again reached to my earlier condition, hair gone again. Its been 3 months since I stopped taking this pills. I got my blood work done just after stopping the pill. results were:

    Testosterone 267.10 ng/dl
    Free Testosterone 6.7 pg/ml
    T3 108 ng/dl
    T4 7.06 ng/dl
    TSH 0.76 ng/dl
    DNA 6.87 IU/ml
Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) 18.90 nmol/l
    FSH 6.60 mIU/ml
    LH 6.00 mIU/ml
    DHEA-Sulphate 32.20 ug/dl
    Cortisol 0.19 ug/dl
    A4 0.4 ng/ml
    Prolactin 5.40 ng/ml

Now I am a person with no hair on my body. I have started taking homeopathic medicines since last one month & mood has been up since then. Now, What should I do? Should I start taking those medicines again? How to come out of this low test condition?

    Any PCT should I do?

    Thanks

You mean say, they were not the reason for low Test, SHBG & libido?

no, i had a quick look and there arent sides like tht listed. i had alopecia as a child and was given corts. if hpta was a concern they wouldnt use them as freely

You should discuss this with your doctor as you have a medical condition.

Actually, corticosteroids are suppressive to the hpta. Most docs just don't really care, I suppose.

I was on cortico steroids off and on for about 4 years for a real bad back. Shots, prednisone, even epidural. My TRT doctor blamed the cortico steroids for my low test levels. If you have low test then you will most likely have to be on TRT along with your other prescriptions.
