Injection Pain

I have been reading forums on this site for some years now. I am 28 and have been working out for 7 years now. Iam 6'2", 200lbs with fairly low body fat. Iam a naturally lean guy and usually have to eat alot to keep weight on. I decided to try my first anabolic cycle. Did lots of research and Iam doing a Test E cycling for 10 weeks. 2 250 injections a week. My PCT is clomid/hcg and Arimidex just in case of sides. I took my first shot over a week ago and the shot went fine. My friend did the injection in my upper ass. He has done himself and other friends many times. I barely feel the injection and it goes good. The first 24 hours iam fine, a little bit of discomfort but to be expected, no different then needles i have had at the doctors. Then about exactly 24 hours after the shot it goes really bad. Swelling happens and iam in alot of pain. I cant bend or do most of my daily activities. Going up stair and getting in and out of my car is a huge chore. Gym is totally out of the question. I also have a hard time sleeping and the pain keeps me up. Its not an infection as iam using alcohol swabs before and after injecting. My friends draws with a 22G 1 1/2 and injects with 3ml 25G 5/8. Makes sure there is no air bubbles either. The Test is from a reptuable Canadian company. I took a shot thursday night and friday night the pain started. Its sunday night now and im still in pain limping around. Trying to figure out what is wrong. I have read logs for years and never hear of to many people having injection pains like this. Iam no wimp and i know what a needle feels like. There is something wrong going on. Your insites would be greatly appreciated.

Just because you take precations does not mean it will not get infected. I have taken stuff that has given me an infection every time I have tried it and my friend takes it fine. People react differently. If the area is very swollen red and warm to the touch it could be infected. Or it could be your muscles r just not used to the injections. For your glutes I would use a 1 1/2 inch and a 21,22,or 23gauge. If your pin in ur glutes I def would not recomend anything less the 1". 5/8 is to short in my opinion. If it doesn't go away and you have the symptoms I have stated above u can just go to doc and get some pills and it will be gone in a few days. I've had it where it looked like a softball was on my ass hope this helped good luck

Has the pain been increasing up to this point, or is it slowly getting better? All my first injections hurt for days, I still occasionally get one that will hurt for up to a week. If the pain keeps getting worse you may have an infection.

The last two days the pain is the same. Problem is that the pain hurts to the point I cant get into the gym which really sucks. How long till the injections stop hurting? Its just weird that Iam fine for the first 24 hours then it goes bad.

Well i have no red dot or anything that indicates an infection. The swelling is not crazy but its there. I have take tylenol and advil for the pain which helps some. Was wondering if that RubA535 works for the pain so i can at least go to the gym. A softball size swelling sounds rough!! Iam deff not that bad. Thanks for your help

I've never heard of ruba5... so I can't comment. You wouldn't have a red dot the swollen are would be infected. And I've also had infections that were just swollen a little bit not just softballs. If it stays the same or gets worse and the next three days or so just go to the doc better safe then sorry. Docs don't care trust me they have seen pleanty of guys come in for the same reason. I think it's just virgin muscle pain, keep an eye on it, icing it should help.
