TRT age
What age did you guys start TRT? My dad was thinking of going on it and hes 50, and I was reading the brochure and everything. Just curious on when everyone started and how much you run per week.

I've been on two years. I am 50.
Tell your dad to come here, join up, and then contact me. There are a variety of benefits, and some serious things to think about when considering TRT.

Started at 37-38yrs old.
My therapy is Nebido.

Marcus from what I understand Nebido is the longest acting test on the market, how much do you take at once, and basically it takes a very long time to reach its half life from my understanding?

Hopefully in the future some scientist will figure out a way to block the negative feedback loop so you don't have to worry about shutting yourself down. I can only dream.

Check the Nebido link out below for further information on it.
Its an outstanding hormone therapy and in my opinion is far superior than any other on the market. I take 1000mg 4ml every 12 weeks - 4 injection per year. Its not available in the USA at the moment but I hear they are working on it

In the link that Marcus posted, it sez it IS approved.........(Cut & paste form the link) Intramuscular (IM) testosterone injections constitute another form of testosterone preparation. IMs are shot directly into your muscle then absorbed into the bloodstream via the capillaries. They are not only popular because of their varying time release characteristics, but also because they don’t cause hepatotoxicity or hinder liver functioning. IM testosterone therapies are esterified, which means that esters have been added to the preparation to control its speed of release and consequently, its rate of activity within the body. The four primary U.S. approved injectable preparations include:
1. Testosterone Propionate , a short, fast-acting (2-4 days) ester
2. Testosterone Cypionate , a medium, longer-acting (12-16 days) ester
3. Testosterone Enthanate, a long-acting (18-25 days) ester
4. Nebido, a very long-acting 2009 FDA approved testosterone undecanoate that actually permits medicinal dosing four times per year, i.e. every 3 months/90 daysLast edited by The Bear 79; 01-22-2012 at 08:59 AM.

No not yet, there was some issues with a couple of patients who reported painful injection sites so they put a hold on it until further studies have taken place regarding the injection. But if you read the studies in my link there are 8 and 7 yrs studies already been done with flying colours. Sounds like politics to be honest

FDA approval IS a political game. Yeah, last i checked, i knew it wasn't approved. but that was a few months ago when i checked. honestly, i'll ditch cyp and go with nebido when it becomes available.

I dont think there is a magic age that can be applied. Whenever your natural levels drop to levels which cause a decrease in testosterone related functions in the body is when you should do it IMHO.
