Wrong section, but depends on what ur trying to achieve! If It's bulking, I would eat before hand and after, if your cutting, I'd do my workouts fasted, and just have your bcaas during!Originally Posted by moseley2004

Are you heading to bed after? Since you work nights I'm guessing that's the case. If it is, post workout I would eat protein and a bit of simple carbs to replenish but steer away from any complex carbs that take awhile to process. A bit of slow digesting protein (casein) isn't a bad idea before bed either.
Before and after definitely.
Eatin big before a workout is alright, but high intensity workout can cause the gym puke. I'd keep it simple before like 20g protein and some fruit, than have a big meal afterward. Besides Now that ur lifting in the morning you have all day to pack in the protein.
I have a cup of liquid egg whites with 1/2 cup oats and 1/2 cup blueberries blended up when I wake up and am at the gym 30-45min later. Plenty of fuel for working out and no bloated/sick feeling if you go balls to the wall
I work days but early morning is much easier time to train for me. Started small meal before and big after. Tried big meal before and ended up sending it out in the shower after workout lol. Got it down pat now. Thanks for all your help
