    First Time Cycle (Test E + Deca) and Possible Cutting Cycle

    Hey Everyone,

    First off just wanted to introduce myself as I'm new on the forums. I've been coming here for the last couple of years, reading but never posting, about everyone's experiences and have now hit a point in my training where I feel that I am ready to go forward with my first steroid cycle. I am 25 years old, 185lbs, 5'10" and have been lifting seriously for about 3-4 years. I have definitely made a lot of great gains and am happy about it but I know feel like I want to kick things into the next gear. Which brings me to my next point...gear! I plan on starting my first cycle within the next two weeks (after getting the proper blood work done of course). The cycle will last 10-12 weeks and consist of 500mg/week of Test E and 400mg/week of Deca. As per pct I'm pretty sure I'll be running Clomid for 3 weeks at about 50mg/day average. The first two weeks will consist of probably 100-200mg/day. I really want to invest in an anti-estrogen such as nolvadex to have on hand just in case gyno occurs. However, I would like an alternate option as I think tamoxifen (which is an ingredient in nolva) is responsible for bad side effects that some other family members have experienced when they used it (not for steroid use though). If anyone knows an alternative that is still as effective please do tell and where I may find it. Also, I plan on having this cycle done in May and generally I begin my cut in March so I will have to cut a little bit later which leads me to these next few questions: how long after last injection or pct would you say I should start reducing calories and go into my cut? and finally, If all goes well and I feel that I have responded well to my first cycle and want to follow it with a cutting cycle what do you guys feel is the right way to go about this? How long should I be off first cycle before I can start second cycle, and what from your experience would you consider a good first cutting cycle? Now after I bombarded you with all these questions, just want to say thank you again and your help is much appreciated.

    you should do a test only cycle first.

    I was really thinking of that but a few of my close gym buddies just hit up test e and deca for first cycle and come out with huge gains and minimal side effects so I just wanted to give it a shot myself and see how I can handle it.

    Just advice, well what about your AI, is nolvadex your only option ??

    nolvadex is not my only option just wondering what some other good options are though? and danlickalotapus that is very impressive...ok I'm going to look a further into this and talk to my guy since I already told him what I needed. As per the other questions about the cutting cycle anyone have any advice?

    Were the people in your family taking tamoxifen women? It's used for long term estrogen based cancer treatment, My gf has triple negative breast cancer. Women are typically going to have side effects dur to Tamoxifen because Estrogen is the main "female" hormone that is really needed in women, not men. IMHO you should use Nolvadex. Not trying to sound like a jerk but I think you have more studying to do before you start your first cycle.

    Well the reason that I'm asking is because my mom was given tamoxifen when she had breast cancer and it caused a lot of negative side effects (e.g. Strokes) and I donkt know exactly why it caused them and if this can have any bearing on my experience with nolvadex

    women are different then men, your mom also had cancer, "sorry to hear that" The dosages she and the length of time one would be significantly less then a cancer patient.

    I would stick to test only. Its all you need. And if this is a cutting cycle i def wouldnt use deca. Deca bloats me the hell up

    Test only first cycle. If your diet and training are right, you'll be astounded.
    Nolva/Tamox is better for PCT. try to find Arimidex or Aromasin for your cycle. Find Swifto's post about PCT - everything we need to know.

    Thank you for your comments really appreciate it. This is a bulking cycle but I'm wondering how far after the bulking cycle (provided all goes well) I would be able to get into a cutting cycle?

    Test 500mg week for 12 weeks with caloric surplus and lift heavy for the cycle for first bulking cycle and you WILL bulk from this, deca is not needed

    time on + pct = time off

    Excuse my ignorance on the topic as this is my first cycle and I have never really come across the answer to this...after this cycle if I decided to jump on winstrol and anavar or tren and anavar to cut up I should wait about 15 weeks to start? I have heard of people bridging their cycles together is that a possibility?

    to put it simply, no

    this is usually what leads to long terms problems, have you heard of trt?

    general rule to cycle safe as possible is : cycle lenght + pct = time off

    and dont even consider running tren until you have alot more experience, it is very harsh both in side effects and trying to recover from and it is never run without test

    Makes complete sense...whaich I guess would make it a good combo with test prop for cutting...as far as eating any my cycle goes...I plan on sticking to around 3500cals/day but I want to start a cut as soon after as possible...how long after last injection or pct would you guys say is appropriate to begin dropping cals in order to not lose hard earned muscle gained furing cycle?

    to be honest you will prob need to maintain the 3500 cals or very near to it to keep gains because as your weight and lbm increases, so does your tdee and maintenece cals

    if you cutting you want to find out your tdee and drop 500 below this but keep protein high

    So I guess its fair to say that I will keep eating at about 3500cals/day throughout pct and slowly start dropping every week after that until I start eating a little under maintenance while obviously keeping protein quite high
