I actually just did this for two weeks at the beginning of my 9th week with test and deca, and have gone back to a calorie surplus this week. It gave my muscles an incredible hard look and cut body fat, I was very pleased with the results. My strength has continued to gain as well. I'm curious to see if I can add more muscle mass at this point, and will give it two more weeks for results.

Calories are a poor measure of nutrition. I don't think that's a surprise to anyone. I eat pretty clean and I'm below my TDEE level on a daily basis and I continue to remain strong and maintain my weight. You need to watch the grams of carbs, fats, and protein along with the types of carbs (complex vs simple), fats (trans vs unsaturated), and protein (natural vs whey). We all need to eat real food no matter if we supplement with whey protein. Measuring the grams insures that we're getting the quantity of food we need. Quality of the food is a whole different matter. I've been told by dietitians that veggies today has 60% of the nutrients that veggies had 40 years ago.

yeah i want to do exactly that, did you loose muscle while cutting, i am at week 9 exactly and just want to cut bit before the end so i dont have to do the cutting after wards and loose to much lbm, i also read that the more lbm you have before the end of the cycle the more you will keep, so interested on hearing what you have to say.

i agree, i mainly eat all whole foods, only a shake prewo, and pwo, and casen at night. so in shakes id say i get around 60-70 grams of protein, around 300 cals, and 20G of carbs a day. but i just wana get this layered fat of my arms, chest, and abbs. im not fat i just want to get cut as hell.

If your going to reduce calories but want to maintain size and hardness might think about adding primobolan. But you have only 4 weeks left and I doubt you have any on hand. But its perfect for this mission

My weight did not change at all, and yet I cut fat, therefore I actually gained a small amount of muscle mass while removing fat. Razr made an excellent point in recommending primo, but as I have shown it isn't absolutely necessary when your nutrition is measured properly, combined with altering my lifting routine (less sets, more reps, same weight) and decreasing my test doses. My calorie intake was simply reduced to something along the lines of maintenance, perhaps even slightly lower than that, and I ensured that what made up my calories (protein, fat, carbs) were clean and proper, actually lowering my protein % and increasing my fat and carb % that make up those calories. Essentially I adopted the deload approach entailed in Ronnie Rowland's slingshot method by lowering my protein intake in order to maintain insulin sensitivity, allowing my CNS to recover and priming it for my now sudden increase in calories, specifically protein. I also made sure to increase my intake of monounsaturated fat to enhance testosterone production, with the hope that my use of HCG will play a role in this. Keep in mind, though, that I have altered the slingshot training method in that I am not blasting and cruising. I am performing a 14 week cycle, with the deload at weeks 9 and 10, then reloading again during weeks 11 - 14. Just before week 16, I will begin a 6 week PCT, perform another 2 week deload, then adopt the reload training method through training and diet alone, no longer using anabolic steroids. I have a thread describing my current cycle and I will keep my gains updated therein.

As far as maintaining lbm, as you stated, diet and exercise will play the biggest role in this, moreso than how much muscle mass you pack on at the very end of your cycle, in my opinion at least. I'm sure adding more at the end can or will play a role in how much you maintain, but I believe that the longer you have that extra lbm, the more likely you are to keep a certain percentage of it.

Nice post, im interested in learning about this as i really see no more weigh gaining even after surplus of 1200 calories over my originaL 3300....how do you down dose and updose again, and do you think this could help like if i was to just do week 10 at 250mg per week untill week 14 and use that test to cut up only, and pct 14 days after?...jw

Imho you want to increase your cardio rather than restricting calories. Attack the fat by adjusting your cardio to create the fat burning environment , food is way to important at the end of the cycle and your body is better suited at maintaining tissue when there is enough calories to support it.

Im doing 45 mins of bike burning around 350 cals x3 a week and i dont consider this cardio but i also do 10mins of walking inclined for 10mins everywork out to warm up. What would be the minimum grams of carbs you advise to eat a day, carbs kill me.

This is very interesting I am going to try altering the Ronnies SSTM as well to the way you adjusted it
