    should I wait?

so I been excercising and dietng really hard. I been doing alot of cardio, running, hiking, and the eliptical. I guess what I'm getting at is my knee. it seems all the sports football, basketball and track and the years marching and airborne school in the army caught up. I can still walk but me knee is killing me it use to pop in and out of place but now it just swells up and fills with fluids and the pain has moved to behind my knee on the back of my leg . can I continue to tough it out and got for it to subside or should I not cycle

Sounds like you need to get the fluid pulled out first

surely you'll have to rest the knee if its red and painful and swollen. ice, compress, elevation... blah blah.

tried aspirin/ibuprofen type of drugs yet? (supposed to decrease pain and inflammation). and glucosamine sulphate? supposed to help with cartilage regeneration

sucks what a set back. I'm hoping some anti inflammatory pills and light training to strengthen the tendons or ligaments will work

I seriously think you should try to have them pull that fluid out, it is going to cause all sorts of problems.
Hope for the best for you brother

yea I'm going to the doctors im just worried they might say I need surgery but that shouldn't be the case since I can walk and still hike mountains right?

I doubt you need surgery.. I have had multiple knee injuries. And I was born with a congenital fractured knee patella.I have never had surgery...My bad knee is now my good knee after gh and treating it right.
