Serm or AI whilst on cycle?

I've read the stickies on the definitions of Both compounds and their effects on the body. However I'm still not fully confident about when a SERM is used and when an AI is used. There seems to be a lot of input on the subject with conflicting opinions so could someone please confirm the protocols for both.

I use an AI. Stopping the aromatization seems more effective than blocking an already aromatized compound from binding to your receptors.

I'm pretty noobed-out, and I'm sure a vet will clarify and offer some good points to weigh out.

AI on cycle to prevent the aromatization of test in to estrogen

SERMs such as Nolvadex block estrogen from attaching to breast receptors,but does nothing to stop aromatization. However their primary function in pct is to raise LH n FSH levels

AI is to prevent excess estrogen from forming in the first place.

SERM (tamox) is to treat gyno or ERSE if AI was not dosed correctly and E becomes elevated.

Prevention is better than treatment.
