HGH - do you look at IGF levels as an indicator?

Reposting here (getting zero love in the hgh forum)

Stats: 47 yr old male on week 9 of trt. So far, I love being on trt. Mildly obsessed with it, actually.
    6'2" roughly 180lbs
In good shape, lifting 3 days, cardio 3 days.
    I look 40 or so.
My goals are to feel good, build some more mass and get rid of this goddamn fat clinging to my mid section. Every ounce of visible fat is hanging out there.

Here's the story and my questions:

I have my annual physical in February, so roughly 8 weeks ago my dr. Tells me that my test and gh levels are low. Test is 214 on a range of 348 - 1197. "IGF " is low normal at 3.9 on a range of 3.3 to 6.7. He suggests therapy for both.

I say let's treat one thing at a time, so I go on test injections . They have been great, but it's definitely been an interesting ride.

At 8 weeks I get more blood work. My test is at good levels, but now my "igf -1" is 338 on a range of 94-252. the doc says we measured IGF -3 originally, which was a mistake and isn't a proper indicator. He asks if I am already taking hgh - I'm not, and tell him so. So, there is no apparent reason for hgh.

Meanwhile, I'm reading all of these forums and I can't figure out if there are specific blood IGF levels that people are trying to attain. Everyone seems to be taking x amount of units for fat loss and x amount more for an anabolic effect. And everyone says it makes them feel great.

In the hrt forum, everyone is very specific about test levels, but I don't see the same thing for hgh. Just "take this amount and feel great" kind of thing. "Oh, you want to lose belly fat, take x amount".

Any thoughts on whether to look at IGF -1 or IGF -3? And what levels to be at? Or whether you look at them at all? People talking about test seem very specific about blood levels, I don't see the same interest in IGF levels for hgh takers.

Appreciate any info. There is a local doc for hgh that I can go to if the answer is that you take it no matter what your levels are. I'm going to see him no matter what in a few weeks, just to get his side of the story.

    Thanks in advance.

    You just look at IGF-1.

Yes, turns out that's all it is. Thanks for the response!

Doc says if it stays this elevated it might be a pituitary problem. Going to retest in a few months.
