Are 16 week cycles much harder to recover than 12 weeks if running HCG?

Title pretty much says it all. I ran a 12 week cycle recently and I had gotten some HCG to run but decided against it because everything was going so smooth I didn't want to throw anything else in there this time. Recovery seemed to go fine, although I didn't get bloodwork done but the boys came back really quickly and my sex drive is normal so I assume it came back fine. So for my next cycle I was considering making it a bit longer but actually using my hcg this time so I was just curious if 16 weeks is much harder to recover or if its really not much worse than 12 weeks?

The recover is not much harder between 12 - 16 but you start having more diminishing returns after about 10+ weeks. That's why 12 weeks is sort of optimal, more bang for the buck.

I would NOT even consider running a 16 week cycle without HCG . Recovery will be a bitch.

You will have to up the doses of your compounds in prolonged cycles and/or introduce brand new compounds to your receptors at some point during the cycle.

An example would be something like this:

    Week 1-4: Dianabol 50mg ED, Test E 500mg
    Week 4-10: Test E 500mg
Week 10-16: Test E 750mg (with an option of running another fast acting injectible or oral such as Winstrol or Anavar )
    Week 2-18: Arimidex 0.25mg EOD, HCG 250-500iu E3D
Week 18-22: PCT with Nolvadex and Clomid

More cycle examples can be derived from this particular line of thinking... This is just an example and both the given compounds and doses are only suggestiıns, not stone written. Use your imagination.

I have 4 weeks worth of dbol and 12 weeks worth of var and plenty of test. I wasn't really planning on running the dbol I actually got it for free but do you think I should run it if I do a 16 week cycle?

    I don't see why you wouldn't use it for a kick-start...

Did you read my post above, BTW??

yes thats why i asked about the dbol . My original plan was 12 weeks of test and var but now I am leaning towards 16 weeks and running the dbol as a kickstart so was just asking if you thought thats what i should do.

Do you really think you can train intensely for 16 weeks,or do do you just want to look good longer than 10 or 12 weeks. you wont make any more gains after 12 weeks, not because the steroids become less effective but because your body will reach a sticking point and gains will be much harder or non exsistant. HCG will keep your balls functioning but the rest of your system will shut down and it will be harder for that part to recover. If you decide to go 16 weeks you dont need a high dose to keep what you gained, and theres no need for the side effect to be any worse than they need to be,longer duration means more adverse side effects for a longer period of time.side effects are dose dependant, higher the dose the worse the side effects.

A longer lag for HTPA before a restart means a longer lag for HTPA before a restart.

Longer cycles are typically harder to recover from. One will shut down in about a few weeks into a cycle whether it is an 8 week or a 12 week cycle.

OP never asked a question regarding the adverse side effects of AAS in longer cycles to begin with, he was curious whether a longer cycle is typically harder to recover from and he was accordingly advised to run HCG this time for a better recovery, unlike his choice of not running it in his previous 12 week cycle.

Last time i looked shutting down your system was and still is a BAD side effect from using steroids ,the more and longer you use the longer and harder it is to recover. 1000mg of test will take longer to recover from than 500mg of test......And your system shuts down as soon as you start a cycle, your body stops producing test as soon as it senses your level is too high,it doesnt take weeks for it to happen... And doing a 16 week cycle is not a good idea if its your second cycle.Taking bigger doses will take longer to clear your system before your body can even start recovering...
