Entire leg swollen
Maybe some rookie mistakes... hope so.
I injected into Right glute had great swelling and pain... found some ways to avoid that on here but, In the meantime I had done anothe injection into my right quad. Had the same problem there but worse and ovet 2 or 3 days my entire legs has swollen to twice it's size. Pain is gone just swollen to a balloon leg and foot.
Any advise or knowledge will help.

If you injected in your quad and the swelling is all the way into your foot a trip to the doc asap would be a great idea.

if its your first injections ever, then you might just be having issues because of virgin muscle

I had thought that too at first since he did R glute and R quad. Even if it is first inject tho it shouldn;t be causing swelling at the knee down to the foot. I could see if it was localized swelling and pain but something that far from the injection site seems fishy.

yea you are right, if the swelling is going down to his foot it is fishy, the only other thoughts that cross my mind is maybe he injected right beside a nerve or lympnode which has caused all the swelling, but its generally best to just go to a doctor and see what they say.
If it were me, id probably wait a week and if the swelling and pain reduced then id say your going to be fine, but then again if its actually an infection time is limited before things get really bad without treatment.Last edited by 0tolerance; 04-15-2012 at 09:24 PM. Reason: spelling

1. What are you injecting?
2. Ugl or vet or pharm grade?
3. How much are you injecting?
-
did you clean the injection site before pinning??? was the needle new?
good info so other users dont make the same mistakes.

Thanks for all the advice.
I'm using Test 400.. Nova
I measured swollen leg last night and it has gone down a bit. Maybe should note that I was invoved in a long soccer program last two days and played about 8 hrs in the last two day that I believe intensified and didnt allow swelling to go down that was obviously caused by the injection.
If it doesnt clear up in next 48hrs I'm going to the DR and will re-post here so anyone with similar situation know my result.
On a good note:
I'm on the 6th week of T400 and results are quite visible. fat loss, strength and 6 lbs of lean muscle was put on. But def. the life of my leg trumps all that

I could possibly see where the combo of the inj. and intense exercise (soccer) could lead to the swelling. Since it's not hot and/or red an infection seems somewhat less likely especially if it developed right after the shot. The only other thing that would worry me (but seems very unlikely) would be compartment syndrome. The intense workout drew extra blood into the leg, and then somehow the localized injection swelling impeded blood and fluids from returning from the leg. Seem slim since compartment syndrome isn't generally seen unless someone is inactive for long periods or has a region of body trapped for extended periods. Another question, is the swelling causing pitting? Like when you push on it does it leave an imprint of your finger in your leg? That would be cause for concern in my books but as far as compartment syndrome goes I think it is very very unlikely the cause and no redness/ hotness doesn't sound like infection. Try some tylenol/ ibuprofen and see if that helps at all.
