Orthoscopic surgery mid cycle cruise or pct?

Tore the meniscus and need orthoscopic surgery planned for 1 st week may which will be end of week 4 of current cycle. Would like your insight as whether or not to cruise for a couple of weeks and then finish out the 8 weeks or pct and wait. Have not had orthoscopic surgery But understand I could be back up and running in little time (minus squats and intense leg sessions). Please advise.

so you're in your 3rd week of your cycle correct (if the 1st week of May is the end of wk 4)? I would personally stop, run PCT and re-plan. After surgury you'll want to ease back into your full intensity and you may be tempted to push it otherwise. If you get sick (cold/flu), that's one thing, but if I'm going under the knife I feel like I would stop, especially since you're that early in your cycle.

Good luck with the surgury bro.

Sucks I know.. but better for yourself in the long run. As frustrating as I can imagine it being, it would probably be even more frustrating not being able to capitalize on your potential while cycling. You'll bounce back.

You'll be up and walking the same day. I had meniscus repair one year ago and it was a breeze. Why stop?

You trying to pull me back out on the ledge!! I think IGI and songdog make sense how fast was your recovery before you could be full throttle in the gym? A week? A month? If I stop now keep the diet tight and li cardio when ready, then I could pick back up and go strong. My concern would be only training upper body and not incorporating any legs at all which leaves out a good percentage of body mass and like igi pointed out, lose the potential of the gains that could have been and not getting most out of the cycle. Now if your saying in a week will be ready to rumble that's another story.
