    androgel after a workout...

got some androgel in mexico and have been using it after workouts (i workout every second day). I figured that since I took all sorts of suppliments that indicated that they would raise test, that a little actual test after a workout might give a bit of a kick.

    What do you guys think?

Now be honest....I know you guys like to be polite and not hurt guys feelings (sarcasm!)

I think you are going to shut down your natural test production and eventually need HRT since that is what they give people who are on HRT. It's does not BOOST or add to your natural test. At best it will replace it but only after your system shuts down. Also one pack is barely enough to replace normal levels. Now days most people are using 2. You would need probably 6+ packs a day due to absorption to get anything out of it. That's every day for 3 months.

I agree with lovbyts also, that stuff is so weak, you'll have to use a VERY large amount to yield anything noticeable, and you will end up shutting down your natural production. It doesn't seem to me that was your intention in all this, so you may want rethink.....................

I dont like transdermals to begin with,,,the absorbtion rate is poor. ANDROGEL is ok for TRT but for bodybuilding purposes its not that great.

Definitely stop. Hopefully it wasn't long enough to completely shut your own system down leaving you in worse shape.

You're probably gonna be OK re: getting shut down for the period you did use it as the half-life isn't super long, but I'd say stop. I'm on it for HRT to replace test levels, and I find that there are diminishing returns if you use too much. In other words, you won't have much success trying to reach supraphysiological levels of test with that product. As an aside, it does work well for me on HRT to sustain high normal levels, but I think I'm in the minority.

I used it on my last cycle. My left shoulder and lat aren't quite symmetrical, and i used it to illicit local results. What the hell, I was already shut down and on cycle. I found it worked nicely, considering site injections freak me out. Just my personal experience. I found it seemed to have an anti-inflammatory effect, made my last set feel great. It was free, and it could have just been a placebo effect...

So you're saying a transdermal testosterone gel, promoted site specific growth?

I'm not saying anything of the sort. In fact i say it very easily could have been a placebo. I was on cycle, and training with my weaknesses in mind. This could easily explain my left lat and shoulder catching up. The only thing it did do definitively was reduce some inflammation, making my last set a little easier. It was free, and couldn't hurt. Theoretically it could induce site specific growth. It has no ester, making it immediately available, kinda like Test-water (although comparable only in the lack of an ester).

Placebo. Test does not reduce inflammation. That's what corticosteroids are for.

No, Test doesn't. But the substrate that helps it absorb through the skin is.
