Low test level before cycle?? Ok to start?

This is for my bro in law.

    31yo
    5'7"
    160lbs
    12%bf
    Lifting for 5 years
Been all natural except for some pro hormones.
He's been plateauing for awhile now.
Told him to get some labs

    Test 260
    LH 5.6
    Fsh 4.0
    Estradiol 19.2

Is he still ok to start a 10 week cycle of test e 500mg a week?A buddy of mine told me too many ppl go by test and it can fluctuate easily. He likes to go off Lh

No. It's best you go to the doctor and find out why you have low test levels and get them working right. If you were 41 I would say maybe start HRT but your not. Better to get it fixed and not screw things up worse.

He assumed he would be fine and did one injection. Does he need to do a pCt or just stop completely?

Take lower dose of test for longer period of time (HRT)

Your endocrinologist won't mess with your test levels close to 300, or I should say mine wouldn't at that age. He does need to get this thryoid looked at though, at 5.6 it is flagged as high, which means it low, IE: hypothyroidism.

    Ignore the above.

How is he in range at 260? Tell the doctor to get updated information, 260 is to low. PLEASE dont let him start self medicating. It's a slippery slope and it's not the way to go.

Exactly. Let's say you do self-medicate, and somehow manage to nail down a perfect regimen (This assuming you'll front the bill for numerous bloodworks, all the meds, shipping, syringes, etc.). What happens when your source runs dry, or even if they change their formula? What about if you get caught buying? "It's ok officer, it's for medical purposes" isn't exactly a feasible defense.

Go to a doctor and do research on your own. The TRT forum here is a goldmine.

If LH and FSH are in range but serum test isn't (even though free/bioavailalbe test are better measures), it's possible he has primary hypogonadism (IE: something wrong with the balls).
