    Pinning Jitters

Is there a point when the injection becomes routine and effortless? Right now I get fairly nervous before each one and I can feel my heart racing. I would imagine it's like anything else and you eventually become used to it like it's second nature....

Take a deep breath. Remember the last one went fine this one will be fine. Every time after the first one gets easier.

I only had a hard time on my first injection, but I still get increased heart rate and some sweating (even though I don't feel nervous) after hundreds of injections.

I agree with capebuffalo...every time gets easier. And don't even freak out if you get a muscle twitch or some blood after an injection. Both are normal.

Not worried about the blood or twitching really. All so far have gone completely fine but for some reason I work myself up each time, wind up sweating as well. I know its all in my head, I think I am worrying about hitting a nerve and getting that zing!! My first quad pin this morning had me worried but it went well. Even with that I know Friday I will be all worked up again.........just seems crazy over something so easy!

I used to get nervous because I would jab quickly, so it felt like a gamble. Now I push in slowly so I never get a surprise. If I get close to a nerve I can feel it and either reposition the angel or remove and pick another spot.

It starts to hurt a little and maybe a muscle twitch. Nothing bad. But, the pain would have been great if I had just shoved it in. I have only had problems in my quads. They seem to be a bit of a mine field.

I could never jab. I have to push on skin and slowly push. It goes in before you even know it. And I get nervous too but now that I know you can do it slow, I'm no where near as nervous!!! Try slow if you go fast

first few where like that, after 1 cycle or two its nothing. first few times i almost passed out from adrenal pumping before pinning! lol
    first time i almost did.

    just be safe about it.
I have pinned avrgs 1-2 ew for last 5 years ( some cycles would be 2 pins a wek so its about that avrg)
    just B SAFE

SLOWLY push it in, bit by bit SLOWLY in till its ALMOST all the way in. probibly 10-20 sec JUST putting it in. then slowly inject (another 40sec-1min)

I was extremely cautious because of all the nerves and pushed it in super slow. I am nervous to do the delt because it looks like I would hit bone if I pushed it in the 1" straight in. Do you go in on an angle with the delts?

It definitely gets easier as time goes on. Soon it will become second nature.

I still get super worked up after 6 cycles. I have buddies and it kills me, they sit there and are in out and done in 1 min;me I'm there for 45min sweating bullets and nearly blacking out (I know call me a p&$@y) needles are my thing. Even when I tell myself you've done this, it doesn't even hurt I can barely handle it.

If it helps at all (Im sure I'll get it for this to) I use emla cream. It numbs your skin completely, it gets rid of all feeling unless u get a nerve and Ben then seems to dull that. At least that way I can focus a little more. Just pick it up at the pharmacy

Try your upper arms. Easy and effortless. I hit mine every 3 days. Straight jabs all the way in. By the time I realize. Its done. Easy to aspirate. I catch cramps reaching around to buttocks.just try it.
