When is a good time to start cardio after a cycle ?

    Hey guys
Some history and stats before the question

I was a really heavy teen reaching 290 pounds with out 32% body fat. After high school I trained with weights and a whole lot of cardio bring my weight to 185 at 14%. However I took a break after that point and gained a bit of weight (220 at 18%). However ive been back at it for 2 years now and thought it was time for a cycle. I know i started off on the heavier side but I gained quite a bit of muscle over the last two years and I wanted to retain a lot of it as i was planning a very clean bulk for the cycle with a lot of cardio.

    Before cycle

    Age 25
    Hight 6'4"
    Weight 245lb
    Bf 18%

    After cycle

    Weight 265lb
    Bf 16%

    Cycle
    Test sust (Blend of Test P, C, E) - 600mg 1-12 (Injections EOD)
    Winny tabs 10-14 - 60mg

I finished this cycle 4 weeks ago. Week 2 of pct right now and must say I am surprised how quickly recovery is coming along (Ball size wise and energy levels). Pct is pharmaceutical grade tamoxafine and doing really heavy compound exercises. I've kept all the strength ive gained during the cycle and and size but i know i still have another 2 weeks of pct to go.

Now to the question.....I wasnt able to do much cardio because I had crazy shin pumps no matter what i did. I tried different cardio exercises and intensities and the painful pumps were never curbed. I resorted to a really clean diet and really low intensity elliptical training which I was only able to do for 20ish mins before the shin pumps set in. I do enjoy running and was wondering when it would be safe to start incorporating a little more intense cardio.......I don't want to lose the the gains i made while on cycle becuase of doing too much cardio during pct.

Currently i do 30mins of low intensity cardio on my off days.

    Thanks !

Why can't you do cardio now? You won't lose muscle while doing cardio. You only lose muscle when on a severe calorie deficit, inadequate protein and your body doesn't have any fat to burn. Your body wants to burn off that fat so keep training hard and keep your diet clean and add in that cardio.

My reasoning from what Ive been reading is that because of lowered testostrone levels and raised cortisol levels a person can be in a catabolic state much easier during pct.

    So this shouldn't be a worry ?

Not true, he is in PCT the WORST time to try and trim up.

I thought your body will target muscle first for energy and not the fat because it wants to naturally keep the fat. So if your in a calorie deficit your body will attack muscle first. Am I wrong?
