axillary nerve in shoulder location??
guys where is the axillary nerve located, today i was pinning my shoulder and i went a bit higher and to the back than normal. i dont have any more than normal pain but just for precautions. can anyone enlighten me? thanx. i used a 1inch needle. i dunno why my hand got a little bit higher.

I am pretty sure the axillary nerve runs under the arm pit. try google dude, and find an image that illustrates it.

Then how come u can hit it while injecting ur delts! I need a clear answer:s

Looks like you would have to pin high in the rear delt to catch that nerve.

For the most part, it is way beneath the belly of the delt. Its safe there. The only place it becomes vulnerable is near the lower corner or the insertion of the delt, where its uncovered. Dont pin there. As long as you are in the upper half, the fleshy part if the delt, its safe.
