Why take an AI?

Seems like when people make a post saying they have symptoms of gyno most will say to dose nolvadex 20mg a day until its gone. Then what's the point of having an ai on cycle if a serm is used to fight gyno. And plus if you have very minor gyno and dose Letro or arimidex to high then gains would decrease significantly whereas with a serm you could take Nolva (20mg) during cycle and it wouldn't affect your gains.

AI is for prevention.

nolva affects gains more than AI.

Because high estrogen does a lot more than just cause gyno.

Because while on cycle you are introducing a surplus of test. Your body will naturally counter act this by both producing more estrogen or convert some of the test. The AI will keep your test levels elevated. The pct would be used after to help boost natty test and slow the estrogen production down allowing your body to return to normal homeostasis.

Now u are talking about a PH cycle. Different ball game IMO. I don't think I've even heard of getting gyno during a short PH cycle. Pct would still be needed.

I've just read that an ai should used on all cycles regardless of gyno or bloat. So PH cycles wouldn't apply then im guessing?

No, only cycles with aromatising compounds (like test).
