    AAS for Sprint/mid-distance swimmer?

I've been looking at AAS for a while now, and still debating on whether or not to run a cycle.
I'm 20, in a D1 school, and haven't made much progress in my main event since my senior year in HS. Currently, I weigh 160 and am on the shorter scale (5'8").
My main events are the 100 free, 200 free, and sometimes the 500. The races last anywhere from 45 seconds, to 4.5 minutes.

I'd need something with low half life (incase of testing) and low water retention. Not looking to put on much mass either, as it might be counter-productive for swimming.

As for my training, in-season I do around 6-8k yards a day within 2 hours 6x a week, and an hour of dryland in the morning 3x a week.
I have done upwards to 10k yards per session, twice a day, 7 days a week before in my past.

I was looking at an anavar /test cycle, or an EPO cycle, but I'm not an expert and have only been lurking/researching for a few months off and on.

Idk if there is anything else you might need to know, but ask away.

    Also, thanks for your help.

It might help in that it will make you stronger which should make you faster. I started TRT awhile back with just Test and my strength has increased a lot. My pant size has gone down 2 sizes and I have only lost about 4 pounds. My cardio has significantly decreased. Only adding test is the only thing that has changed for me. I have to think it is the cause. This would not be good for you.

from what I read anavar inhibits your test production, so going on it w/o some kind of test would most likely be bad. Is that correct?

AAS not recommended at 20, Time to evaluate your training and diet first, at 20 years old your body is producing tons of natural test.

Wasn't really looking for the increased test effects of using the test, but instead was putting it into the stack to counteract the test-inhibiting effects of anavar .

As for evaluating my training and diet - I am an elite athlete who has been training daily for 7 years for 4 hours a day, and sometimes up to 6. Diet was re-evaluated and fixed in September of '11.
My goals are not for the body, but instead of performance. Since I have only 2 more years left in my career, waiting simply means never seeing what my body is capable.
