Quad Injection, hard to squat 2 weeks later

So I had my first quad injection about 2 weeks ago. I did 1cc in the left quad fairly high up on the outside portion of quad. First I hit a nerve, so I pulled out slowly, changed needle, and redid the injection slowly and it went fine.

However, the pain started within 10 minutes even after massaging and heat pad. (Massaging seemed to make it worse).

I went and squatted and had horrible pain in the injection site. The next 3 days were hell, the knee cap are was very swollen and i couldn't bend my knee, had to keep my leg straight. That pain went away in 3 days. I have read from other threads here that oil must have moved and settled near knee area and will just take longer to absorb.

My question is that it has now been almost 2 weeks, however I find it really hard to get past parallel on squats. The area right about the knee, underneath the quad sweep hurts like hell and feels like it is going to tear even doing BW squats! The pain or stretching is only there when I try to squat, walking and everyday activities don't cause pain. After 3-4 warm up sets I find that I can squat but still feel the tightness and uncomfortable stretching. Any one deal with this? I assumed that by 2 weeks it would have gone away right?

    Thanks.

pinning virgin muscle for the first time can be quite painful, although 2wks is rather long. try some painkillers like diclofenac or naproxen (if you're not allergic) for 1-2 days. if there's no improvement, see a dr to make sure there is no infection

2 weeks is a long time. You should have a doctor look at it to see if you have an infection. Is it still red? warm? Swollen?

Really 2 weeks is awful long.

sounds like an irritated nerve to me. I am a firm believer in ibuprofen, its anti-inflammatory effects work for everything, on me. from sunburn to injection pain. Also there is a possibility that you may have an infection. see a doctor. tell him what you did. just dont see a doctor that you have history with or want to go to again.

like the above, see a doctor. might be an infection and if not you can always get some mild pain killers.

Thanks guys, I guess I will have to get that checked out.

There is no redness, swelling, or warm feeling. The swelling and slight redness went away within in 3 days. The muscle it self is fine. I feel like it is the Ligament that is "sore."

Imagine flexing your quads real hard, and look 2 inches below the outer quad muscle.

But, 2 weeks is a long time, going to have to get this looked at.

what did you inject and what size pin did you use.

honestly it just sound like you knee may be sore and unrelated to the injection
If people can't tell your on steroids then your doing them wrong

I used a 25g 1" needle and I was injecting Test Prop for the first time. I also don't think it is related to the injection, it is just that once the 3 days of pain from injection were gone, that feeling in the knee area was still there. That's the only reason I thought it might be related.

Yeah man, I know what your saying. But that day I was just trying to make it through workout with little pain and get my sets done. No "crazy" weights that sometimes people do when they are on lol

Anybody who's on gear should have had their joints and ligaments stop growing a long time ago. I think the main problem you're talking about is with tendons.
