Confused and conflicted about duration and P.C.T

Please bare with me on this need insight bit long:

been reading the threads the past couple of days and some new members have mentioned a few statements such as 'blast and cruise' 'pct is overrated '

Not that I would jump into anything like this but my confusion comes from what I have read from this site e.g

I read a pct thread that argued an aggressive pct Could help a heavy user (52 weeks on) to start producing natty test again. If this was the case would blasting and cruising be a possibility for someone who did want to gain size quickly rather than cycle on off pct etc etc? (this must put strain on the body)

Is PCT really overrated ? Please don't flame me on this I research research and research I ask this because how can someone juice for 52 weeks and still end up producing natty test ?

Love to here what you guys think because like a lot of members I read up everyday trying to learn and these new statements and comments have honestly got me doubting. Cheers peace

Good topic. Big divide line on this one, look forward to reading responses.

I have never blasted and cruised. Having said that, unless your competing for something and making money doing it I don't think it's the route to take. Also until blasting and cruising has proved overwhelmingly to be better, it doesn't seem worth the risk.

I want to hear from those who have done it and are doing and not just for the last year.

Cheers for the bump Judah my worry is that I do want to reach my potential fairly quickly but at the same time do it safely the thread is mainly about the efficiency of a cycle duration.

PCT has been a hot topic here lately. With newer generations of AAS users come different ways of thinking. Some may be right, some wrong, tough call. Read this quote from Dr. Michael Scally, one of the leading experts on Test in the world:

"What is clear is that upon stopping testosterone or anabolic steroids , a period of anabolic steroid -induced hypogonadism ensues. This occurs in one hundred percent of individuals stopping testosterone. The only variables are the duration and severity. The duration of hypogonadism, or the severity of hypogonadism, is typically related to the anabolic steroid drug, dose, and duration.

In other words, one person that is on testosterone for an entire year; they may come back to normal within 1 or 2 months. Another person may take 12, 18 months, or even 3 years to come back to normal. The best studies we have on this are contraceptive studies with testosterone for over a year. And what we find in those studies is that it may take up to three years for a person to return to normal."

Hence the need for pct which he also addresses. Until there are current, realistic studies on long term use, I'd err on the side of caution.

Good reply kelkel and I do agree I'll try this at a different angle as 52 week cycle is quite a harsh cycle to come back from.

I'm assuming anybody who try's AAS is risking shutting their natty test production down PERMANENT even from a small dose cycle they may not fully recover with a good pct. my question is this:
if it is a risk at an 8 week cycle then why not 'risk ' doing a 26 week cycle 10 week blast 4 week cruise and 10 week blast?

Surely there is no certainty after any cycle that you will recover fully.

    Cheers for replys peace

Higher dosage + longer duration = greater risk/harder recovery
Lower Dose + Shorter Duration = less risk/easier recovery

Its up to the individual how far over the line of "relative safety" you want to go.

Nothing is garanteed, but your chances are better using less for shorter periods.
