I was going to put this in the supp section, but everyone is here so much more.
But, either way. . . How much powder do you consume per day? Between any powder type protein or "weight gainer".

5 Whole meals
1 shake (60g whey)
Zero for me.
Im down to just one, maybe two tops.
Normally one either before, during, OR immediately after hitting the iron. Currently I am on a lean gain program and made changes to my diet to support 15-25lbs of lean gains so I know take 1 shake in the morning when I wake and 1 around training time. I'm training 2x a day, 5 days a week, so the additional shake in the morning is a benefit. Normally I'd restrict it to one during a work out since most shakes contain very little nutritional benefits and a lot of sugars and fillers.
Usually have my oats with a shake first thing in the morning, then one after lifting, but I try to get most of my macros from real meals!
Protein powder, peanut butter, coffee, ice, and glute. Amazing.
Love Greek yogurt! My new thing for breakfast is a cup and a half of oats and half cup of Kashi cereal, then shake up a scoop of whey blend in one cup of skim milk, mix it all in bowl and eat it with a spoon! Really good with chocolate flavor protein power.Originally Posted by MuscleInk
3 scoops. (about 72g protein)
I am at about 4-5 scoops a day. I mix it with everything like oats and Greek Yogurt.
Just cause it's cheap.

1 scoop casein one scoop whey and one cup oats. Have this between breakfast and lunch and again pwo. But this is on top of 6 whole food meals each day
One shake after lifting
Usually about a half gram between blasts on blast anywhere from 2-4gms per wk depending on compounds being used. Wait maybe I misenterpreted the question.
All joking aside I usually have one shake PWO. The shake contains 3 scoops gold standard whey, 1.5 scoops carbogain .5 dextrose and 10-15 gms of Creatine Monohydrate.
PS No I do not consume anywhere near the previously mentioned amount of AAS (nor should you) this was for entertainment purposes only.
This sounds delicious! I'm going to try this today!!!!Originally Posted by t-dogg

I was trucking along just fine with my fat loss plan, then I realized that mixing my shakes with Milk was halting my fat loss. I got rid of all lactose and started losing fat again. Then it stopped. I got rid of the shakes and was trucking along again.
But when I did shakes, I was doing 3 daily of Isolate with either water or almond milk. Breakfast, pre and post workouts.
That sounds fantastic! Greek yogurt is a fantastic additive for a lot of things. I've also started throwing a cup of egg whites into my protein drinks and fresh fruit smoothies to bump the protein.Originally Posted by DeadlyD
My "cheat" meal at night is a couple tblsps of peanut butter, almond milk, egg whites, ice, and blend. Sometimes I'll add a tblsp of sugar free jam for a nice PB&J smoothie. Delicious!
Also, my favorite cereal is Uncle Sam its strictly non GMO whole wheat kernals, whole flaxseed, salt and barley malt. I eat it dry several time a day as its easy to do at work and as a prepackaged cereal goes its pretty good, wish it did not have the salt but whatcha gonna do?
I usually avoid soy protein as often as a can.Originally Posted by Sgt. Popper
Right now. Zero. All whole food meals. When I'm bulking. Three. One after I punch iron and two more during the night.
Wonder if I should kill off all the powder when I start losing weight. When I did weight loss shit last time I used about 2 scoops a day total.
50 grams with oats 1st thing am, 50 grams with oats within 30 min pwo
Add 2 scoops "weight gainer" to my morning oats and eggs for flavour then I have a post workout shake in the evening
Yeah, I was looking at some of this shit and it's really low carb, like 1-3g's.
The weight gainer is almost a waste, it has a ton of sugar.
Weight gainers are marketing crap. They help you gain weight....it's called FAT. The largest ingredient by weight is usually maltodextrin, 7x sweeter than cane sugar and it spikes your insulin promoting fat retention.Originally Posted by samson_420
You can make superior protein shakes that are much cleaner with fat free yogurts, fruit, egg whites, that give you healthier levels if macros without the unneeded and unhealthy fillers found in just about every brand of protein powder.
Very few pro BBs use protein shakes and for good reason!
Nice, right now I pound 5 scoops of shit per day. 2 scoops of Syntha in a PWO shake, 2 scoops of MM with 2 cups of oats in the morning, a scoop of straight whey with just milk or egg protein with some milk. . . And sometimes a few scoops of casein with cottage cheese before bed.
I have 3 scoops a day.. one in the morning, two right after work out!
Now and then ill use a pwo, and some bcaas once in a while during the workout. Beef protien here and there, but for the most part i try to eat as much as possible. i just listen to how i feel. Most of that stuff is just garbage and sales pitches, all this powdered muscle wasnt around back in the day so why do we think we need it now?
GNC...got no cash.
save your money and buy some chicken.
2 shakes per day
one in the morning
one postworkout
25gram protein per shake
The rest from food
