    Cramping

    I'm on test e 400 mg ew is it normal to be cramping up ?

    I know it may sound simple but it very well may be a dehydration issue more so than anything else. Most tend to train a lot harder once they're on something and typically need to give a little more effort into staying hydrated. You get dehydrated and you'll start cramping.

    Another possibility is sodium levels being too low...this is really common with a lot of guys. Everyone worries so much about sodium intake due to possible water retention and it's not uncommon to take your levels too low. Sodium levels get too low and you'll start cramping.

    Maintain these things and odds are cramping won't be an issue.

    My thoughts as well, however I was hoping he'd tell me he has a proper AI protocol in place and wasn't one of these guys jumping on the juice without researching it first because someone told him it was a good idea.

    Electrolyte imbalances (sodium or potassium deficiencies) or dehydration are more likely causes especially because training requires more, not less sodium. Still, exaggerated suppression of estrogen during an anabolic cycle will lead to pain, stiffness, and cramping as estrogen in men and women serves an anti-inflammatory response.

    Stretching? What is THAT!?!?!? lol

    I do it more now that I used do. IronBeck is right. It is tremdously important and far too many people don't actually do it. It improves your ROM, strength, and decreases injury and pain.

    I'm in agreement there. There are so many variables, and as you can see from that thread, I still haven't narrowed down exactly what is the cause of my spasms. As I mentioned in that thread, spasms subsided somewhat when I used Potassium tablets more than my use of anything else I tried (taurine, magnesium, etc.). It's been over 2 months since the end of that cycle, and the spasms are now gone.

    I will be jumping on my next cycle in literally one week from now. When the spasms begin, I am going to try dosing my Potassium much higher this time around (yes, yes, I am well aware of the dangers of too high potassium intake, so I am being careful here). It's annoying as hell though.

    I'm pretty sure its potassium related, as 200mg per day alleviated it a bit, and more than the other things I was trying. I've read about people supplementing potassium at far higher doses. The normal dose for adults is 200 mg, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. The recommended dietary intake of potassium to decrease your risk of stroke, high blood pressure and kidney stones is 4.7 g. Yes, thats 4.7 GRAMS per day.

    I think I am going to attempt 2grams per day to start with, considering you and I are not 'normal adults' here, and our AAS use and intense training is responsible for placing us into a different category. Along those same lines, the AAS use and intense training is likely causing potassium depletion. It also doesn't help that my diet is very limited in potassium-containing foods. I'll bet you when the spasms start again, 2g or more per day will solve it.

    Probably a heck of a lot easier than eating bananas. I buy so many bananas each week I bet the grocery clerks think I'm raising a farm of monkeys somewhere!!!!!!

    One banana, depending on its size, I believe contains around 300 - 450mg of potassium.

    stretching is essential on cycle IMO or you will inevitably snap, cramp and tear shit up all over the place eventually

    Been there. Done that. Tore a calf muscle 4 weeks ago. Didn't warm up or stretch before my first set at 600lbs. Dumbass mistake!!!!!!

    rapid muscle growth brings its own problems the body has trouble keeping up sometimes, i had some nerve problems in my neck and some serious cramping issues until i started stretching and getting massages etc, we live and learn i guess : ).........no tears yet touch wood

    I've started back in on messages every two weeks because some of the muscle and joint pain was becoming restrictive. Can't underplay the importance of stretching and a good legitimate massage!!!!

    I haven't been cramping during workouts it's simple things like just moving to fast a certain way and my an tightens up. I looked like an idiot at mc donalds today(for my son ) just sittin there a d I moved to the right and oh my god bottom right part of stomach cramped and just WOW. I almost cried

    These are the exact symptoms I described in my thread. Fast movements in certain positions cause more of a spasm than a cramp (usually occurs after fast movements whereby the muscle is being extended after being in a contracted or semi-contracted position for a period of time).

    I'm betting the TEST E has nothing to do with it. Drink more water,,fluids,,,eat a couple bannanas
    daily and supplement with some Taurine.
