Well it still effects the liver, just not as much as taking it orally. You can never completely avoid liver toxicity, there will always be some toxicity no matter what route of administration you choose. By injecting "said" compounds you will skip the first-pass of the livers metabolising process, though after this the compound will still hit the liver on the second time around.
Is it easier on the liver to inject said compounds rather than take them orally? answer is definitely yes.
