    Getting Bloodwork done

Should i just go to my general practice DR. or see a specialist. I've never had any bloodwork done and i'm 29. I've had a few cycles in the past and may start on one in the next few months so i would like to get bloowork done. Is this generally covered by insurance? Or do i have to have a reason for wanting the bloodwork done.?

Call your provider and see what they cover. Get a physical and blood work. It's a common thing. If you interested in hormone panels take a look in the TRT forum at the sticky for Finding a Physician. Bloodwork is there. Great to have baselines.

Tell your doc you're low on energy and want to have your blood work done. Most times than not, the insurance will cover it. Tell him you want a full hormone panel. Thyroid Profile w/ TSH, Complete Blood Count w/ Differential, Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA), Estradiol Sensitive, Testosterone (Free), Serum With Total Lipid Profile, Insulin Growth Factor (IGF-1).
