What food should I stay away from to combat H2O during a cycle?

On my 1st cycle, 500mg Test C per week I held a good bit of H20 even though I was taking .5ml of Arimidex p/day. This time I will switch to Test prop, and EQ. That should help, but I have heard that diet plays a role. Can someone shed some light? I was at 3000cal with a 40/45/15 split

Yeah, Sodium could be the culprit, I do love the salt. Sweets are no problem but salt is my downfall, I didn't realize it would cause water retention though.

The biggest problem when it comes to water retention with a lot of guys is their total intake of carbs. This is often the case when trying to gain mass. A lot of people consume more carbs than they need to, more than there body actually needs. If you do this, you'll hold water. This is true with or without steroids but it does tend to be more pronounced with steroids.

The sodium comments mentioned can also be true. However, if you're eating clean you're probably not consuming all that much sodium to begin with. Further, it's important to remember you actually do need some sodium in order for your body to function properly. As a side note, I've always eaten fairly clean for the most part. Unfortunately, this doesn't give me enough sodium. I have had a sodium deficiency for years. I'm not entirely sure of the reason behind the deficiency but when I don't have enough sodium I get horrible muscle cramps. I'm talking the worse you can imagine and they can pop up anywhere. I've had them in my ab muscles so bad twice that it made me vomit. Back when I was bodybuilding, I would actually eat soy sauce like my life depended on it and to this day still take sodium tabs. Never had a negative effect on me in anyway, I need it as from the various doctor visits I've had over the years my body tends to need nearly twice the amount of sodium as a normal person in order for it to function like a body with half as much sodium.
