benzyl alcohol
does anyone know where to purchase benzyl alcohol (eg scientific supply etc) without paying the jacked up prices of some of the smaller suppliers? in addition does anyone know the physiological problems that comes with injecting it and what concentration is to high?
any info would be much appreciated.

Does benzyl alcohol cause pain? The reason I ask - it's used as a local anaesthetic.
Here's a report by the Scientific Committee of the European Commission into health risks of benzyl in food and non-food use . . .

The report states that there are no significant health risks. It also states that in order to metabolise benzyl you need glycine.
