Thread: Canadian Domestic Mail

    Canadian Domestic Mail

I just moved from Ottawa to the East coast and I'm planning on keeping my source in Ottawa, rather than going through the trouble of scouting around out here for a new reliable source (if this can be avoided). Naturally, this calls for the use of the mailing system to obtain my gear. Are there any Canadians on this board who have any experience with the domestic mailing of less-than-legal substances? As far as I know there is not very much security when mail is shipped within the country, certainly in comparison to the processes at customs, but it seemed prudent to ask if anyone else finds this risky before I tried it out on my own. The shipment will be very discreet and well-packaged, so there is no reason it should be opened or investigated.

    TL;DR?
Is it safe to send gear from one location to another inside Canada via mail?

    Thanks in advance.

Its fine, I do it all the time and have been doing it for years. It's domestic, so there are no customs searches or scans. This is the benefit of domestic sources and/or domestic shipping. You're good to go. Only thing I would be sure of is that it is mailed via prepaid xpresspost envelopes with signature required for better tracking. After all, you don't want to lose stuff in the mail system (although, I have had no failures receiving stuff shipped via regular mail too), but its just some extra added security for peace of mind.

Sounds good. That sounds more or less like what I expected but I always like to be extra cautious. Thanks!

Send and receive stuff all the time using express. Never had a problem. Although you will find if u use express envelopes enough that the tracking is less than perfect. I have stuff miss scanned all the time and tells me totally wrong info but it always shows up.
Guessing from ur last name, you got a chance to move back home. Great for you.
Plus i did notice that you are only 20 so stick around and learn a few things and be careful whatever you decide.

I used to live in Canada (Winsdor, ontario) and always got my product in the mail, from different sources within Canada... as far as Vancouver... never had a problem....actually had a source in Ottawa too :-) and London.

You're good man. Prolly 90% of the Canadians on this board get their gear or part of it through the mail. Domestic mail does not get checked unless it's like ticking or is sent by someone name Luca Roca Magnotta.

I may try putting this in the return address just to see what might happen!
