hCG - Using 5000 iu vial over X amount of days, splitting the amount

Hi,
I have a question about using hCG, I used it on a cycle years ago and I haven't had a cycle in many years. I have read it is more effective to use ED or EOD in smaller doses, but the vial I have seen is 5000iu. Would I be mixing the vial and then is it safe to extract it from the same vial over the next few days after it has been mixed?
