    Need help with TBOL bloodwork!

    Hi guys,

    I'm 3 weeks into a 6 week TBOL only cycle. I'm doing 80mg/ED. A week ago I did some routine bloodwork and I just got back my results:

    Cholesterol
    Total = 299
    LDL = 245
    HDL = 25

    Testosterone = 111

    I know TBOL can jack with your lipids while on cycle, but should it be this bad? Also I thought my testosterone readings should be higher on cycle? My doctor said 111 is quite low.

    I know the stuff is legit because I have pretty big strength and LBM gains.

    Thanks for your advice!

    Everything jacks with your lipids. Where are the ranges? Is that total or free test? Why are you not taking any test with the oral?

    I travel a lot for work and pinning isn't an option right now. Tried it once but the logistics of carrying the stuff with me on planes proved too much.

    The problem is my doctor didn't tell me whether it is free or total test. I have an appointment next week and I'll ask. While on cycle I'm assuming total should high and free should be lower?

    So those lipid numbers, while high, are not surprising while on cycle?

    ....and yet another person juicing who hasn't done any prior research. I think if people actually took the time to READ some material they may be less gung-ho about jumping into this.

    OP....as a reference, not only will steroids screw with your lipid profile, any of the following are possible side effects caused by any number of factors when taking gear:

    - increased red blood cells
    - increased blood pressure
    - depression
    - anxiety
    - decreased libido
    - erectile dysfunction
    - gynecomastia
    - liver toxicity
    - renal stress
    - dehydration
    - fatigue
    - decreased energy
    - acne
    - headaches
    - insomnia
    - shortness of breath
    - muscle weakness
    - joint pain
    - immunosuppression
    - increased injury (to tendons/ligaments)
    - hair loss
    - loss of appetite
    - digestive issues

    .....to name just a few!

    Everyone is different so not everyone has the same side effects or to the same degree.

    the reason you take test is because orals will slowly shut your natural production down, some faster than others, and some shut you down completely. Of course your test is low. You should stop this cycle immediately. Whats your plan for PCT?

    Well you're incorrect about me not doing research and this is not my first cycle. I have done TBOL cycles before with great results. But I have never gotten my blood work done while on cycle before. I'm just asking for some help deciphering the results. Thanks.

    Also just to add, my liver test came back normal which I'm quite happy about

    Effects of exogenous testosterone on lipids is one of the most common effects of any anabolic. It's fundamental. It's basic. Not trying to make you look bad and if you haven't done blood work on prior cycles that's pretty reckless. Changes in normal blood assays can be an early marker of developing problems.

    As for your cholesterol, there isn't much you can do while cycling.....but in your research, you probably already know this.

    No problem. Keep your bp in check too. With elevated cholesterol you want to be sure you stay below hypertensive ranges.
