Hey guys, I been on this site for a couple of years now I just got a chance to finally ask my first question and if it wasnt for my wife typing this you would not be reading this well hear it is. For the last 5-6 years I been getting pharm grade from my source, which up to recently I have lost, well got another source which is UGL words was it was all good stuff. Mistake 1 I ordered up 500 test E (yea 500), thought it would be a little pain full but i have no idea it was like shooting broken glass, leasoned learned should of got 250. like always. My question is I got cotton seed oil to cut it did half CC 500 half cc cotton seed hopefully making now 250? shot that alot less painful but still getting test flu pretty bad never had it last this long after ever shot next day I feel like crap I am concered about cotton seed not being sterile but it said it was and maybe my gear did a little reading and found that you can use a watermin filter .20 to filter the cotton seed how would i do that? and can i use the filter to filter my gear or would that runion the test I am no bio cem but maybe one of you guys were down this road. Well on a better note results from UGL Gear are good just tired of being sick twice a week. any questions for me i will get right back to you I appriacate your help and knowledge. thank you

OUCH! I have never heard of 500mg/ML gear! Holy pain in my ass batman. You could cut it with injectable B12 and enjoy the added benifits of B12!

There are a few different type of filters, the simplest one is a syringe filter which you place between the syringe and the needle.
You fill the syringe with oil or gear of choice, put on the filter (make sure its a pre-sterilized filter), put a needle on the filter, and fill up a vial.
It's quite a slow process, and you'll need to apply force to the syringe plunger for quite some time. This can get very tedious, but I've on occasion put a couple of strong rubber bands to pull the plunger down to get my hands free for other things.

If you go that route make sure you have a vent pin in the stopper as well.

The problem is, filtering will NOT steralize oil!!!!!

This is true, Lunk is 100% correct, it will filter out most of all spores and bacteria, bacteria typically being around 1000nm in size, and the holes in the membrane of a 0.2um filter being 200nm.
Viruses however are in the 20-400nm range and can get through.
BUT
In order to truly sterilize oil, you'll need to autoclave it, or cook it in a pressure cooker with sufficient pressure.

So am I really, just trying to remember what I read back when I was brewing :P
Boiling alone will not achieve high enough temps though, if you're talking about popping a vial into boiling water.
Bringing the oil itself to a boil is absolutely not recommended!! as (depending a bit on the oil) the temperature needed for this is very close to the ignition temp of said oil. And having a big cloud of oil-steam/smoke go into a flashfire in your kitchen is not that much fun really :P
Olive oil for an example (I googled this) has a boiling temp of 570 degrees F (299C), and a ignition point of 600F (315C), there's only a 30F (16C) degree difference between boiling oil and burning down your house!
