    Cutting cycle?

Hey guys i've been having trouble cutting these last couple pounds off of my belly and am looking for something that might get me there. Im currently 180 pounds BF: 9% and am 5"10" and 20y/0 , I really want to get my body into competition shape but cant seem to get that lean look, i've been researching and talking to a few people at the gym and i've been told that tren is going to get me size and cut at the same time and that nothing compares. I know i need to do some sort of test and since im trying to cut i will most likely be doing test-prop but i was wondering if what i was told is true will tren help me get to that cut physique model look? or should i be adding anavar or winstrol into my cycle instead? I also have heard great things about masteron but have heard it wont do much to actually help me lose bodyfat?

    Hey tank,

The compounds you're considering will shut your natural test production down. Typically you can recover from this but at your age there are extreme risks. You could potentially damage your endocrine system and end up on TRT for life (like me ), and erectile dysfunction is not out of the question. That's just a couple of a host of issues you could run into several years from now due to cycling before your growth plates have fused.

Anyway, let's talk about cutting. In order to cut, the only way to do this is with food and cardio. You have to calculate your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure), this will give you a magic caloric number. You would need to go into a daily caloric deficit of 500 calories or more. Minding your macros, or course. (proteins, carbs and fats). This, coupled with a good daily cardio routine will yield the results you're looking for. Cutting from 9% is no easy task, with or without gear. But even with gear, if your diet is not fixed, you will never get there.

Check out the nutrition section and look for a thread titles DIETING 101: CUTTING. Tons of details in there. You could also post your exact diet and let the pro's there critique it for you so that you can maximize your results.

    Best of luck to you.

Even with PCT there is still a chance of damage. Here is a short article written by a very experienced and reputable member here:

To give an exact age we stop growing would be incorrect because everyone's genetic blueprint is different. The main development of our bodies is up to the age of 21yrs of age but this can vary between individuals. There are parts of our bodies what carry on developing and adjusting slowly up until the age of 25yrs old, an example of this is the brain. The Endocrine system is a part of the brain what is very complex and keeps our bodies in a homeostasis state. Our testosterone levels start raising and roughly peak around 25yrs old and then start to slowly decline, so even though some of us may have stopped growing at the age of 21yrs old, others may still be developing up until the age of 25yrs old.

I have recently spoken to my Endo regarding this matter and he tells me that the HPTA is very sensitive and as many pathways how it regulates the human body, he states steroids disrupt the normal balance of hormones in the body which can cause reversible and irreversible changes at any age but risks are far more if you administrate exogenous androgens during development, this will put you in a very unnatural environment at a crucial time and your hormones should be treated with care especially in the early stages of maturity. The adverse effects can be erratic behaviour of the HPTA and potentially therapy when your older.

I did ask him what age he would think would be the safest as far as risk to damages and he said many endocrinologist suggest full maturation is reached by 25 years of age and this would also give the HPTA time to be established with your natural hormone balance and patterns. I personally feel 24-25yrs old would also be ideal starting point to get bloodwrok drawn to see exact what your natural levels are before starting any kind of cycles and waiting till you have reach your testosterone peak would be a good starting point, for me there is to much evidence over the forums and what I've seen personally over the last 25yrs I've been bodybuilding. Obviously it isn't going to be all 19- 21yr old bodybuilders who suffer side effects what are irreversible but I am edging on the side of caution what age I advice to the newbies.

Not much more I can add that wasn't covered by Austinite or Marcus. There are NO guarantees to anything and at your age, there is a good chance of permanent damage. It doesn't mean it will happen, but ask yourself if the risk is really worth long term changes that could effect you in many ways.

If you're doing a physique contest keep in mind that being too hard is frowned upon. You don't want to be nearly as hard as a bodybuilder.
