Health risks for a friend thinking about starting a cycle

    Hey everyone,

So I recently just registered as I heard this was a helpful and knowledgeable site on cycling/health risks. I have this young friend who's 15 that wants to try his first cycle. He's been lifting for two years and has his routine and diet down pretty well. He's pretty tall, like 6'2'' and 185 pounds. Theoretically if he followed perfect procedure during cycling and PCT as well as having a perfect routine and diet what would the health risks for a single cycle? He doesn't mind stunted growth and could wait till 16 if it makes a difference.

    Thanks,
    Concerned *friend*

It was a question, he most likely won't, I would like to know anyway though. I'm sorry if it offends anyone.

Yes waiting until he is 16 can postpone all the life long issues he is going to have by one year.

I read this. The author states it can mess with hormones and mess things up but doesn't actually say what the consequences are or what happens. If I could get him to hold out till 19 would it be a lot safer? And in what way?

No not much. We sort of set the bar around here at 25 because the hormones have had a chance to settle down and you have a better chance of recovery and know what your base should be.

Well #1 side effect most people have and would be a concern to me is libido. Limp d*ck and it can last weeks, months or be permanent. Another one especially in younger people is extreme acne that can leave permanent scars. VERY common. Also common and life changing is screwing up your natural testosterone where you have to go on HRT for life. Hormone replacement therapy.

LOL we get that all the time but for every 1 person who beat the odds there are 100s who dont if not more. We see several most ever day here and I can guarantee you its not even 1% How many guys do you know who go around telling people they cant get it up? Yet Viagra is one of the worlds best selling drug.

Actually Arnold has had several health issues that are probably directly related to steroid use .

Here is the link again as you need to reread it. It's best to allow growth plates to fully develop. And typical age is 25 as it clearly states. The biggest concern being your body not being able to produce it's own testosterone . In which case, TRT Therapy would be needed for the reminder of your life. That doesn't sound so appealing going into the prime of your life does it? Or you can ask your friend if it does. Sure doesn't to me.

Thanks for reminding me, how many guys do you know who want to fuze their growth plates prematurely and stop growing? Loose a couple inches of height and/or not filling out all the way. Do you know many guys who like being short or having narrow shoulders???

Thank you for the replies guys, it means a lot. It seems the main concerns here are that it could lower natural test levels permanently and stunt growth plates. I don't think the growth plate stunting would really change his mind on the matter too much as he's already well above average male height - The shoulder width might impact on him though, does height directly ratio to shoulder width or does shoulder width come later on with full maturity? I was talking to him before about the permanent natural test drop and his defense was that proper PCT would eventually bring it back to normal. Any truth in this?

Fun fact, basing your knowledge on a select few people isnt a good way to go.

Another fun fact. I have a friend who got into a head on car crash without a seat belt and walked away. I guess its safe to not wear one...

Yes. It's one of the main things people tend to not think about. Most guys THINK they stop growing around 18 but go ask any 25 - 30 year old if they think they grew or filled out in their 20s and they will say yes. I know I and most every guy I know has a bigger filled out chest and shoulders now than we did at 18 or early 20s.

I had my chance to get into aas at 18 and was VERY tempted. I'm SO happy I waited. I know and have read about lots of guys who wish they would have waited but I have never heard anyone in their mid 20s or older who said they wished they had started when they were younger.

This guy thinks so but I agree, I would not want to chance it.

Thanks for all the help lovebyts! I'd really love to hear everyone's stories on how they got into steroids and how your first cycle went. Your failures and successes and the most memorable parts.
