Thread: plain and simple i just dont know

    plain and simple i just dont know

    brand new to this and trying to do my research first...ok stats first im 31 and on a workout of 5 sets of 5 from 50 to 90 percent of my 1rm im trying my hardest to put up 400 by year end but have he a flat spot in my workout ... im getting 325 at my 90 percent fifth set for 3-5 reps ( three on heavy work days five on well rested days ) but im stuck here... so now why im here i dont really want to resort to injections or tabs as i feel like im just giving in to the results of them and not putting in my hard earned work but they become more and more appealing.. ive heard so many bad things about tabs and liver issues and it seems between cycle support pct and the cycle itself this could become and expensive science project... so if anyone could give advice on if you were me and wanted to start a cycle what would it be please be as specific as possible from dosage to cycle support pct and choice of tab or injection used... as this may be my deciding factor in using .. ty

    Check your diet in the nutrition forum..I bet you need to eat more. Honest answer!

    im putting down closes to 4000 cal and around 300 grams of protien weight bounces between 235 and 245 and i only hit the gym tues thurs sat sun ... sunday being heavy chest day and thursday light ive been trying to push the chest to grow im just new to this man only been really working out for about 5 months im mean ive touched weights but never really stuck to a schedule and diet till these past 5 months

    There are some pro's in both nutrition and in the lifting tecnique forums that I will assure you can get over the hump.

    4000 calories is a decent amount for a bulk and to add some mass. But the guys in the nutrition sectionwill tell you exactly what you are doing wrong/right. You may be needing more calories from fat, or it could be from carbs. I know for me, fats are a no, no, but carbs are a must. Once you post andput up your diet, they will practically do the work for you. I am going to be posting mine up soon to get some great advice. BTW, if you have never used AAS, dont start with orals. If you ever decide that they are the route you are going to take, post up a proposed cycle here after reading the stickys and first time users guide. Good lucktoyou buddy!

    Diet aside for a minute, if you've been doing 5x5 and working your chest twice in four workout sessions for the last 5 months, you're working it too much. Time to change up for a little while.
    I would work chest 1 day given your current schedule, anywhere between 10-15 reps per set, 4 sets per exercise, 3-4 exercises. Switch to FB DB's, BB Incline, BB Decline also throw in some flies from time to time whether they're FB DB or Pec Deck.

    hmmmmm. well i should probably tell you that that is my first of four exercises on my heavy day ...i do the 5 for 5 then do 3 sets 0f 10 with 275 then barbell incline 115 three sets of 5 then 100 for 5, 90 for 5, 80 for 5, 70 for 5 then move to peck deck 315 three sets of 12 with push up till failure in between sets also ending with fly from 65 to 85 sets of 8....... light days i choose between incline or decline adding in cable crossovers and dips ....... also heavy days i workout bicep with chest light days i work out triceps
