blood at end of inject
Hi I have never had this happen before. I attempted and finished my first delt injection. I aspirated as normal but at the very end of the inject i wiggled a little and after the plungger hit the end it pulled back a small amount of blood right before pulling it out. Has this ever happened to anyone else? should I be worried? or am I ok?

Happened to me a couple times so far. You might have passed through a vessel with the injection.

Thanks LT75 makes me feel a bit better. What would be some symptoms if it was in a vein or vessel

not sure if this part was clear. The blood was in the plunger, not oozing out of the hole

I understood. As you pressed the plunger all the way down, it probably had a little suction on the way out. If you passed back through the vessel on the way out a little blood got sucked in. Do you push the plunger down all the way, to get it all out like I do? Get every drop out. LOL

It's no biggie...there are small capularies with small amounts of blood that somettimes gets in there. If you hit a vessel you will have NO doubt

awesome to hear. Thanks Lunk1. I wasn't sure if the effects from injecting into a vessel or vein would be right away or down the road in a couple days.

unless you are experiencing an arterial geyser, you are g2g

I wouldn't worry about it. U said it was only a small amount of blood so I think your g2g. Trust me it would be painful if it were something else. Every time I do a delt inject I seem to have a few drops of blood that come out no matter how careful I am an how slow I try to inject.

If you hit a a vessal the plunger will nearly pull back on its own from the back pressure. You do not need to pull hard at all while asperating...just a slight tug

What is everyone talking about squirters? I am new to delts. I never had any blood squirts happen while injecting in the glutes.

Sorry man...it's a bit of a joke using the common term for female ejaculation but also referencing the fact that on occasion when pulling the needle out from an injection site blood will actually squirt from the pin hole...quite a distance in some cases. It isn't common but can happen.

Quick anatomy lesson: a blood vessel is just a broad term that covers arteries, veins, arterioles, and capillaries anything that transports blood).
