How do you deal with acne on cycle?

On first cycle and my back and chest have been breaking out pretty bad. I have been using acne washes in the shower and it isnt helping a whole lot.

Cel cycle support helps with acne. Taking hot hot showers open your pores which also helps

I've dealt with facial acne since a teen and it's been a bitch. Only thing that worked was Benzaclin but it started to lose it's efficacy and I also didn't like how it dried my face and was an antibiotic I had to apply every day. I wanted it gone for good so I did Accutane but at a lower dose and a short cycle because at the time I had lost my job and had no insurance or anything so couldn't afford the whole cycle. For what I had it worked amazingly, but dries you out bad. The worst was the lips, having constant chapped lips. It went away for about a year and then the acne returned but it definitely wasn't as bad as it was before.

Now that it's not so bad, I've found a way to control my acne perfectly with lemon juice. Go buy yourself some fresh lemons and squeeze the juice out of 'em. Get some cotton balls and at night, spread it over the affected areas and wash off in the morning. I really wish I would have tried this years ago. It may sting and itch a bit at first but don't be a *****. Since I've started doing it I don't get any acne (a tiny one here and there maybe that goes away in like a day). Acne scarring has blended to the tone of my face and overall facial smoothness has improved. My face isn't as oily as it usually is either.

Lemon juice is naturally anti-bacterial so it makes sense. Best of all, it's cheap! Give it a shot and see if it helps. Report back if it does.

i find using Dial soap dries my skin up pretty well. i use it on my face year round, cuz i have really oily facial skin naturally. now that i'm on cycle, i've started to use it all over my body as a precation to oily skin/acne side effects.

i am also taking .5mg Adex EOD....u didn't mention if you were using an AI so thought i'd throw that out there.

Soap, then a scrub with salicylic acid, then Hibiclens. I also make sure my AI dose is sufficient since my acne gets out of control when my E2 gets high.

Accutane is the very best, but it tends to have side effects. Minocycline is also very good, and typically prescribed before trying Accutane

Benzyl peroxide based wash and salicylic acid based wash are good. Benzyl Peroxide wash will not only make your skin layer away the acne but will kill the acne germs. The bottom line is, if you're meant to have acne you're gonna get acne. I had 'em bad on my first cycle. Acne carpet front and back. My wife thought I caught a disease overseas while I was on my business trip. The best you can do is to control the ones that pop up. Don't get too discouraged. When you go on PCT the acne will go away. Once your body gets used to the Test the acne will slow down. Check your E2 make sure you have your estrogen under control. The amoritizing of the Test can cause a lot of acne. Good luck.

Antibiotics, cleansers, antiseptics all work. What you DONT wanna do is just use regular soap and way worse dish soap! Get noncomedogenic soaps to wash face. tanning helps. Also a huge factor is keeping hormones from bouncing around. This is why acne usually related to oral AAS. A long injectable will result in stable blood levels and you may find you have no acne at all.

soap and water....shower 2-3 x a day depending on livelihood. Also sufficient AI and yes reggular injection and keeping your hormones balanced....I never have an issue, unless I go on a bender and eat bk, mc donalds, wenddys and a bag of snickers followed by a gallon of ice cream all in the same night lol.

Thank you for the info. I think showering before you lay down to bed and changing your sheets regularly works a bit

Another thing, maybe not so good for men, but...Dermablend. If you break out and you like to wear skimpy gym clothes, it's what you've gotta do. I think men could use it if they blend well and if they don't have much body hair.

I find Proactiv works well but you have to be really diligent about it. Use several times a day and don't let yourself run out. A good option if you can't get accutane.

Steroid acne is pretty darn stubborn. Accutane is usually the only means to treat it unfortunately.

I went tanning a few times a week and that seemed to help control breakouts, but then again I never had a major problem with it either.
