Question First Quad injection - 1.5" ok?

I've always hit my glutes or shoulders, but this evening I'm hitting my first quad pin. I think I have a good idea of the spot, but my main question is a 1.5" ok to use (and bury?)
I've read it's good to use 1", but 1.5" is what I have on hand.

    Thanks fellas!

I usually leave a bit out honestly...I know it's not neccessary but mental for me.

You will walk fine...just have a steady ahnd and push nice and slow. I almost let it go in on it's own...just a bit of pressure

Wouldn't it be tricky to hold it out a little, and still aspirate ?

I've used 1 and 1.5. Both work fine but as long as your bf is low, I find 1 inch to be adequate for glutes and quads.

Watch for nerves and vessels in the quads.

Nooo...not in quads. I sit down. Hold the barrel and tug on the plunger. I always hold the barrel very steady while pushing so I dont create tears in the muscle.

I push a 1.5 in till all but abot 1/4 inch is still out. Like I said it's mental for me. I know the chance of the pin breaking is nearly non existant but the mind believes what the mind believes lol

I never jam it in the quad fast. Just start pushing slowly till it pops the skin and then slow and steady till you get the desired depth. This way if you feel a nerve you can back out, move an inch or so and try again. 80% of my pinning is quads.

Go buy some bitter melon. That crap will turn you off of fruit forever! My wife uses it in our juicer daily making me some kind of Asian cholesterol lowering juice. Tastes like poison to me!!!!!!

Guess my hand wasn't too steady, lol cuz It felt like someone punched me in the leg Saturday! Mostly because of my "virgin quad muscle" taking a pin for the first time.

Hit my other quad this morning (with 1.5" again), so i guess I will see how this one went!

What gauge pin are you using?

I did most of a cycle, 8 weeks in my quads LOL
I used 21 gauge until I caught a blood vessel then I switched back to 25's LOL

I still like doing both quads on leg days, I find it helps dissipate the juice better to really work the muscle you just pinned.

Do you guys hit the upper outer muscle or the lower inner tear drop when pinning quads?

Not sure if your asking to get an answer on what is best or if you just wanted to know what the op was doing...either way, NEVER hit the inner quad muscle. The number of vessels running through that area is astronomical. Bad idea in my book!

Was asking in general since so many responses and a lot of people do it. I was googling it. And most give u both as an option. I hit the outer before. And now since u gave this answer with the vessels not even a doubt in my mind where to pin lol

Granted, I'm only now starting week 11 of my first cycle, but I only like quads. Going in slow is really painless there.

That being said, I do kind of miss the pain of the first couple of weeks sometimes.
