    Weight Lifting Shoes

I know this is the wrong section but not getting any replys over there and would like to get some soon!

I'm getting more into my powerlifting and I want to invest in a pair of lifting shoes. Currently I do my big lifts shoeless but want to get shoes!

I have read a bit on them and I am not interested in converse style shoes, I have a pair and feel they don't give me enough support.

Anyone had any experience with Nike or any other lifting shoe? I am currently looking at ordering the R2[/QUOTE]

I like the Asics Wrestling shoes because they are very flat which i prefer for Squats, Deads etc and also the Vibram Five Fingers.

I also use wrestling shoes for all my lifting workouts.

    Includes deadlifts, squats, and cleans.
I prefer the flat sole of wrestling shoes versus raised heel.

I wear chuck's when it's cold out and usually sandals TO the gym when it's warm and just kick them off when I lift.

First there's not just one shoe for powerlifting. You need a really thin sole shoe for dl's and something with more support for squats. You'll see guys wear little pull on slipper like shoes for the deadlift to shorten the pull. A lot of folks like high top Converse for squats. Any good non-slip shoe works for the bench.
