Question First ever use - to cycle or not?

    Hi all

First time on here and would like opinions on my first time use of test.

I've been training for about 10 years, about the last 3 years 'properly'. I'm 26, weigh 87 kgs (not sure on bodyfat, I can see the top row of my abs when I flex them if that helps at all, but a lot flabbier than I would like!) and my maxes are:

    Bench: 120 kg
    Push Press: 90 kg
    Squat: 155 kg
    Deadlift: 180 kg

I would like to be around 90 kgs with much lower bodyfat (visible six pack). I've cut before naturally using a bodybuilder nutritionist over the internet and got very lean but weighed about 75 kgs (naturally obviously).

I've been on and off some peptides and IGF1-LR3 for a little while, and I was thinking of a beginner cycle, something like 12 weeks of 500 mg of test enanthate or cyp with clomid and Nolvadex for PCT.

I got advice from the bodybuilder/personal trainer at my gym who is very successful so I respect his opinion. He suggested who doing 250-350 mg of test enanthate or cyp a week ongoing, with a month off once every 9-12 months. Now I have done a lot of research on this and it seems like guys who have done cycles for years (or even decades) tend to do a 'blast' and then 'cruise'. A lot of MMA fighters do TRT which is a similar concept.

I asked him what happens if I want to stop, what happens to my normal test? He said it comes back to normal. I researched this and this is true for people without hypogonadism, but they can't say how long it would take to come back to normal. Could be anywhere from a few weeks to over a year (though much more likely to be faster in younger people). I read Testosterone: A Man's Guide by Nelson Vergel which goes in to detail on the concept of TRT and it spells it out well. Just wondering if anyone else has done this with success or can shed any light on the concept.

Anyone else have any thoughts on running 250-350 mg a week long term (for example, 6 months on, one off)? Or would the more 'standard' way of 12 weeks on/off be the better option for my goal?

    Any questions let me know

    Cheers boys and girls

    Ciz

Extended cycles such as that one will greatly hinder recovery. The body will be shut down for so long that it may not feel the need to produce natural testosterone ever again. Then you will be stuck on weekly injections for life in order to feel "normal".

    Not worth it.

If you are intent on cycling, run a long estered test for 10-12 weeks at around 500 mgs per week. After run a proper PCT in order to recover.

if your goal is to gain 3kg of muscle and loose some BF, i think you can do that naturally, don't you??

i suggest you go to the nutrition section, read up, and then post your current diet. the guys there will help you out from there.

    good luck

There is nothing written in stone that says when you shut down your nat test flow it will come back. This is even more so when you shut it down for 6 months. And then dont do a proper pct.I would suggest a much shorter cycle.Like 10/12 weeks 500mg test nova and clomid for your pct.And you need to run a ai like Adex@ .25 eod to start. Now this is after you post your diet in the diet section so they can help you.

    Welcome Ciz.

First of all, your "trainer" friend knows nothing and is a fool to recommend you cycle for that length of time, especially at your age.

Currently, you're producing the most testosterone you could possible produce in your lifetime. The thought of long term cycling the way he suggested is ridiculous. In fact, its one way to increase the odds that you'll be on TRT for life. And speaking of TRT, this isn't a "concept", it a way of life! But, it doesn't have to be YOUR way of life, unless you do something foolish like cycle for 9 months and take a month off and then repeat. Get this six months on one month off scenario out of your head.

If you want to cycle, stick to a standard beginners protocol of 12wks with ONE compound - testosterone enanthate or something similar. Include an AI, hCG and a solid PCT and your grovin'.

But before all else, i would first concentrate on your diet and build a solid muscle base so as not to lose your gains post cycle. This is very important.

In the meantime, heres a few links for you to read up on. Good luck.
