Weight gain while trying to cut?
Okay, so as some of you might have seen I've started my cycle a couple weeks ago. My diet is in check, drinking 3-4l of water a day, doing cardio 7 days a week, working out 5 days a week with 2 days rest.
I always weigh myself every monday, at 8am on an empty stomach after having taken a dump. The monday I started I was 213lbs, today I was 219lbs. What could make my weight fluctuate so much? I know i'm only a couple of weeks in but 6lbs on a calorie deficit diet plus all the working out I'm doing?
750mg sust/week
50mg var/ed
0.25mg Adex/eod.
What am I doing wrong?

Obviously diet will be the biggest factor...also an increase in AI might be necessary if you feel you are holding water. Lets not forget muscle gains either...

This should be posted in the Nutrition forum for best results. Post your current TDEE including stats, and what current diet consists of including macros.
With that information, the Nutrition pros will help you get dialed in correctly.

I can't see how in a week I could've even gained a pound of muscle. I'm going to assume I'm retaining water like crazy although one would think with a high water intake the body tends to hold less water since it's getting so much of it.

At quick glance i see bad fats and sugars and 1 or 2 shakes that should be replaced by whole food. It honestly looks like your not even eating that much. Def. go get some expert advice from nutrition though. I bet $ this is your issue. Your not far enough along in your cycle for much else to cause it.

My TDEE is 3730 Calories a day, around 800 cals come from fat in my diet by the looks of it, but still I got about 1000 calorie deficit per day which technically should make me lose about a 1-1.5lbs a week with my training regimen. I'm gonna increase my cardio, also the diet posted in there isn't exact. I won't usually drink more than 2 shakes a day, i've already started cutting down on cheese and I've replaced 2 meals with 3/4 cup of cooked brown rice and 6oz chicken. I think I just need to stop looking at the scale it's psyching me out. I'll re-assess 4 weeks in see where I'm at

^ lol.
Probably using the old calc. Try using LBM x 15 to get your tdee, should be about 1000 calories less

So if my BF is 15% and my weight 220lbs. 85% of my body is LBM? That gives me about 2800 TDEE. Sounds about right. Thing is though, my TBEE is a lot higher than that, I'm not a weight lifter I box 2 hours 4 days a week. Plus do cardio every day. I'm definitely around the 3500 mark, or do you guys not even count your workouts in your TBEE

^ you dont really know that. No one really knows that. Unless you carry around a calorie-burn counter with you 24/7. These are are guesstimates, you just have to keep trying and adjusting until you get it right. My LBM x 15 formula works perfect for me. May not for others.

I bought the wife a body bugg...used it myself as well. Great to get a fairly accurate idea of your daily expendeture including resting cals burnt while sleeping. Highly suggested piece of equipment, plus the software is great to log meals and figure intake and expended cals.
