This is going to seem amateur but I always use the 10 ml vials. How do you open or penetrate these smaller 1 ml vials?

Those are ampules. You need to break the top portion to extract the liquid. You will need filtered needles to draw it out as glass particles could end up in the solution when the top is broken.

I've done it like the video in the past and I've totally crushed couple of vials. Get a folded piece of sand paper or a small grinding wheel like those used in hand held grinders and scar the neck of the vial. You just need a small scrape along the neck. Then break it open. It'll break clean and fast with almost no effort. It works every time.

Those look like organon. If they are they have a perforated spot in one place on the neck. Just point that away from you and brake away from you at that spot. It will break off clean and easily.

I've cut myself really bad when opening my first amp, it broke nice and clean however with the forward momentum of my hand I ended up cutting up like 2 inches in length just below my thumb, I now do it with a rag over top of the clean wipe package, hold both top and bottom of the amp, which completely covers my hand. Thank god for filtered needles, I've had glass fall inside my amps before!

But if they have the perforated section you should be fine. That happened to me on one that did not have anything.
