The past few doctors' visits, I have had high blood pressure. Usually it has always been 110/56 or 120/80, even when I smoked. More recently it has been more like 140 or 150 over...uh, I forgot. Today they also said my pulse was abnormally high, like over 130bpm. I didn't feel anything weird at all.
My EKGs are all normal. I am not overweight (well, kinda off-season stocky for my height, 135 lbs at 61 inches) and I do not have chest pains. I get lightheaded and dizzy with cardio sometimes but nothing too bad.
So how exactly do steroids cause high bp? I thought high bp was caused by the heart being compressed by a lot of bodyfat. I don't know if they can tell if my heart is enlarged from an EKG, but if it were, wouldn't the blood pressure be lower due to the heart being weaker?
