    How much LBM did you add natty before 1st cycle?

    Assuming you have been lifting a few years or more, hitting each body part at least 1x a week, diet dialed in, old enough, have great discipline, etc, how many of you know how much natty LBM you added prior to the first cycle?

    For example, my "couch potato" status is 141 lbs LBM, 5'11". I *think* I'd like to get to 161 lbs LBM (+20 lbs LBM) at least before considering a cycle, but wondering how long others waited in terms of added LBM.

    Please tell you height, starting or couch potato LBM, and LBM when you started the first cycle.

    Or has this been asked before? I could not figure out how to search for it.

    You are going to want to be a lot heavier than 161 to start. If you cant even manage that, you will lose everything off cycle. I am 5'11," started off at 135 and am now around 175 and still have got a way to go before I make my "first cycle" post. Its a good time to do research on everything....been lurking for a couple years and still feel I need to understand way more before committing

    Just to be clear I'm talking about Lean Body Mass (LBM), not total body weight. Are you saying you gained 40 pounds of lean body mass??? I am pretty sure that amount of gain would be near or perhaps beyond my genetic limit now that I'm in my 40s. I just don't have that kind of frame even at 5'11".

    I would like to be 185-190 8% bodyfat at 5'11" before my first cycle. Currently at 196 12% (AVI taken at 205lbs 15%).

    A solid natty base is pretty important pre-cycle

    How may pounds of muscle do you reckon you added to get to 185?
